Fantastic food from Amy's. Used them for years and always been perfect. Leaving a review today though as I rang them for a missing an item. It wasn't, as I saw I had dropped it down the side of the oven whilst on the phone. I explained it was my fault but they sent the dish free of charge to me within ten minutes anyway. Superb service! :-)
Food took an hour to arrive , food was awful , chips soggy n greasy and curry the beef was cheap and chewy , used be good there , but totally gone downhill , won't be using there again thank god I have immodium have a feeling I might need them
I read some of the reviews before ordering but went with my gut instinct, and I'm glad I did. From the moment my call was answered I was informed I'd have a 90 minute wait due to being busy, which suited me better. The food came exactly 90 minutes later & was not only piping hot but hands down the best chinese I've ever had. I ordered chicken fried rice , beef chow mein, sweet & sour chicken balls and chips. All Absolutely beautiful. 5 stars deserved all the way. I may not live in this area anymore but every time I visit my parents and we offer a chinese , Amy's will be 1st choice.
Give this place a pat on the back what an absolute gem. Lovely little unsuspecting shop in the middle of a row of terraced houses with such amazing food. After trying a few takeaways in the area I was blown away by Amy's. Highly recommend ordering your normal go to and having your expectations exceeded but can't stress enough get the cheesy chicken rolls never seen them advertised anywhere else
The first time we used this place the food was really good. But the last twice has been disappointing. The fried rice was not thoroughly cooked and was stuck together in big hard lumps and the King Prawn curry sauce was like water ! We won't be returning.

Ordered tonight and the food was absolutely vile. I’ll never order again for sure, the only reason for my order was because my regular Chinese was closed
Had a couple of things from here since Amy went bit different but thought ok give them the benefit of the doubt. The latest meal sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style normally a thick sauce that sticks to the rice but this one was just so watery and not very pleasant. I have been a regular customer all the time Amy was there but unfortunately I think I will be looking elsewhere
Well what can I say, I've personally ate from Amy's for 20 yrs plus and not once have they ever let me down, been told that Amy's family have taken over but I'm not to sure, if they have then I think Amy's husband Tom should give them some cooking lessons because the food is no where near as nice or the same especially the curry sauce they need to improve the fried rice dishes as well. The delivery service is a good idea and food arrived pipping hot so top Marks for delivery but like I say the food ain't the same anymore which is such a shame.
