The best fish and chips in Stourbridge! It’s a family-owned business and provides such kind and lovely service. The food is great every time. Would highly recommend :)
I’m a loyal customer to this chips shop in Stourbridge and have been for over 10 years. I’ve spent hundreds of pounds in there and today they have lost a loyal repeat customer over 40p. The woman serving who’s the owner is penny wise and pound foolish. I had difficulty placing my order as after each item I asked for she was screaming the total amount at me holding her hand out for the money not something you want when ordering. I completed my order and paid by card after I asked for a little ketchup and mayo on the side of each cone of chips she said that was 40p (I don’t mind this charge but there need to be a sign stating this but most chip shops do give it you it for free) I got my card out to pay in which she said the minimum card payment was £5.00. (Again there is no sign saying this) I asked if just the once she would accept my card payment for the lower amount but she said the machine would take anything lower than a £1. I offer to pay the £1 for the sauce via card which she still said no. She then literally threw the sauce at food and she got it wrong she put ketchup on both! She said have it but next you ask for it before paying in a really aggressive manner. I left the shop nearly in tears she was so abrupt with one item had to completely bin as it was wrong too. Edit: As the women is married to the owner this response is very biased! you are lying as she didn't ask me about sauces before taking my order. I would have said about the wrong sauce but as explained there was no time due to her mannerism. I would like a copy of the CCTV as it is now slander against me as you are saying I am lying. I will provide you with my email address directly and we can take this matter from there.
Easily the best Fish and Chip shop in Stourbridge. Brilliant value for money, really lovely staff members who greet you with a smile and the food is great!
Absolutely amazing fish and chips!!!! Best I have eaten in a very long time. Cooked fresh both times I have visited - would highly recommend.
Haven't had fish and chips for ages. It's not a cheap meal these days so i done my research for reviews first. I'm so pleased i did. Not only was the price very suitable but the fish and chips were outstanding. Fish was cooked whilst we waited and it hung off the edge of my plate when i got it home. Very generous portion of chips too, not greasy like some chip shops. Worth every penny.
A modern unassuming fish bar which serves superb food. It’s unpretentious and excellent quality you can purchase a small f&c or medium and large . I often eat them in if I can grab a window stool . Better and fresher than all these rip off suburban fish bars Always cooked fresh to order and worth the wait . Wonderful couple that are excellent . Thomas Bunn .
