Called just before closing after a long day at the hospital. The gentleman serving couldn’t have been more accommodating, very kind. Food tasted great, one of the best chippy’s around.

Just had large fish & chips from here. Absolutely fantastic. Good size fish & very tasty. Absolutely stuffed now. Didn’t even have a chip butty because there was that much. Highly recommended

Food is consistently quality and the best fish and chips around. Major gripe is that twice now I've phoned an order in, agreed a time when it would be ready and paid by bank transfer. On both occasions they didn't start cooking the food until I arrived. What on earth is the point of accepting telephone orders and giving a time the food would be ready?!? Today I was told on arrival that the rest of the meal was cooked and we were "just waiting on chips." That was clearly just a massive lie as well which is really bad.l service.

Great place but a bit of a wait as they cook everything to order and also don't take card payments so often have to go elsewhere

A good size fish and lots of chips but very greasy, definitely needed to drain more

Can't get much better fish and chips, however be prepared to wait because I think they cook every fish on order. Also they don't except cards, only cash.

Used this place on and off for 10 plus years. Lovely family. Food is normally spot on. However there's a couple of grumbles. Firstly they only take cash. In this day and age they need to offer option of card payments etc. Many times I've had to drive past as I didn't have any cash. Secondly food is cooked to order, whilst I can see they think this is fresher and hotter, it results in large queues when there's not really any need for one. Again I've taken one look and just carried on past. Surely it's not difficult to know that on a Friday at 5pm you will be ranmed and to pre cook at least 10 fish to get you in front?
