I don't go to any other place for my fish and chips, the food and speed of service is absolutely amazing! Absolutely worth the trip or stopping by. The customer service is incredible, the workers are beyond polite and are very welcoming and ive become a regular customer. Very high quality service and good!
Fantastic fish and chips, fried in beef dripping - gorgeous light crispy batter, white flaky fish, great chips and scraps. And two lovely women serving them up. Oh and huge portions! Highly recommend
Mermaid Fish Bar serves some of the best fish and chips in Leeds! The fish is always fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. The chips are golden and have just the right amount of crunch. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality you get. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service can be a bit slow during peak times, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended for a tasty, traditional fish and chips experience!

The mermaid fishshop is the best I've tried in a long time, my first visit I bought regular fish& chips which was far too much for me, and I couldn't finish them, so next time round I bought the small fish&chips was just right and great value for money, nice friendly people, from now on this is my local

Absolutely one of if not the best fish n chip shops in Leeds. I've been going to mermaids for over 15 years every other week for my fish n chips and always get the beat service and the bsat quality food. Fish like a shark haha! 10 out of 10 always
