   Beautiful restaurant. Stunning food. Staff are really welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely evening with great friends. I'm so glad we now know about this little gem. Had the 5 course meal, which was well worth the money at £49.95pp. The crayfish, prawn, and salmon salad starter was truly delicious. Prawn cocktail is one of my top favourite dishes, and this really did not disappoint. My Rib eye was cooked to prefection and tasted amazing along with prefect accompanying side dishes. Deserts were delicious, and the homemade cheesecake was perfect. We will definitely be returning.

   Managed to get a table at last minute on Sat at 6.45. Service is friendly and efficient. Restaurant was full. We ordered the 5 course set menu £46.95 which I think was excellent value for money. I had smoked salmon and prawn starter, champagne sorbet, sirloin steak with mushrooms, onion rings, chips, mash and veg and a steak Diane sauce. The steak was huge and cooked perfectly- medium rare. The meat was also very good quality. I had biscoff cheesecake for dessert which was average. Followed by coffee. Outstanding value with really good service but could do with a little more of an atmosphere. Will definitely return

   The food was delicious but a bit dry and service was decently quick. The restaurant was understaffed when I went so likely would be better if it was fully staffed. The atmosphere was excellent and the building was historical so it was fabulous inside with a cosy atmosphere and very festive. The toilets are clean but small however a bit difficult to access if you are older. The starters are outstanding and the mains fell somewhat short. The drinks were good and with a great range.

   Ate here for the first time and it was absolutely brilliant. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Service was spot on (friendly but not fussy) and there was simply no rush all night. Food was excellent and portions and pricing were superb. Really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend and will return.

   What can I say! Lived in the village for 30+ yrs and never been, until last night. I could never understand why such an "expensive" restaurant was always so busy. Well, now I know. Excellent food, attentive staff, a good wine and beer selection and certainly "not expensive". We had the Evening Special 3 Course, my main was the 32oz mixed grill, certainly the best cooked and biggest mixed grill I've ever had, anywhere. No pressure to leave at all and we were some of the last there. We'll certainly be going back, we just need to find a good slot for us all. 5/5 Thanks Bex and Steve for the invite and your guidance through the menu.

   Had a lovely family Sunday lunch. Staff were helpful and friendly and the food was great. Portions are large but it isn't quantity over quality as all courses were well made. Definitely worth a trip if you are looking for a nice 3 course Sunday lunch.
