What a lovely restaurant!! I have not been here since I was a child when it was the first Harry Ramsdens! It was always a special treat.. and years later ..it still is! The food and the choice was exceptional for Coeliacs! The GF Fish,Chips and Mushy Peas were outstanding but the choice of Traditional British Desserts was such a wonderful change! It's usually a Brownie for us Coeliacs.. but here , the choice was endless.. I went for the Sherry Trifle in the end , but there was Black Forest Sundae , Cherry Pie , Treacle Sponge, etc.. I'm so impressed! And it was lovely to have a pianist playing in the background while we ate.. a marvellous experience!!

We came with my elderly grandmother, who really struggles with her mobility. The staff were extremely helpful, even offering a wheelchair to make things easier, this isn't the sort of thing we usually get offered and it really was appreciated. The food was lovely, generous portions and tasted brilliant. Very glad we came and we will be returning! The staff working on the afternoon of Saturday 1st November are a credit to the restaurant, I hope they receive some recognition!

The food was good, nice and hot and fresh. The portion size is generous. The staff were friendly although getting another round of drinks was difficult. The atmosphere was lovely, having the pianist playing gave a lovely old school vibe, that was just charming. I would highly recommend.

Used to visit regularly when it was Harry Ramsden's. First time visit since it's become the Wetherby whaler. Food & service good and decent parking. Pianist can get a bit overpowering after a while due to volume.

Consistently great food and service for decades. Formerly the iconic Harry Ramsdenβs that was once the largest fish and chip restaurant in the world. Still great despite the change of name and glad it still has live music to add to the atmosphere. Food - fish and chips of course - was excellent and great value, but there is lots more on the menu if you want it. Dining-in is recommended but thereβs a takeaway too and outdoor seating, plus plenty of parking.

Traditional fish and chips, served in the original home of Harry Ramsden's - quality food served in 'tea time' style and if you're lucky enough to get a table on the weekend, you can enjoy the pianist who accompanies you while you eat.

Excellent fish, chips, curry sauce and peas...with scraps of course! Desserts plentiful and very tasty. A pleasant pre Christmas atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Excellent fish and chips. Options of regular, large and the 'whale'. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday and there was a pianist.

1st time visiting here and loved it. The decor was traditional with a cosy vibe and toilets were clean. All main meals come with complimentary tea/coffee. The fish was crispy and light (not too greasy), chips were perfect chip shop style. The curry sauce was one of the best I've ever tried. Pianist playing live creating a beautiful atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and our waiter was a nice bloke. I would definitely recommend a visit here if you're passing by.
