Had 3 mini fish meals for 3 ppl after we had eaten it it kept repeating in my mouth and caused two of us to be sick will not go again
Ordered via Uber Eats tonight 21/11/25 I called after 1 hour 20mins (45mins max estimated delivery) to ask where my order was. They advised it was with the driver who had left 10 mins before. Driver then turned up 30 mins later with the food piping hot. So clearly the person I had spoken had lied. How would the food be hot after 40mins in a plastic bag in the back of a car. On opening the order all the food was excessively greasy, peas and curry sauce were ok. I would have preferred the owner/person I dealt with be honest about the status of my order and I would have made the decision to cancel. Instead this business now has a negative review as a result.
I don't eat fish and chips anymore as I'm on a calorie controlled diet but dolphin fish bar is the best fish shop in clowne. Fish is always cooked freshly on ordering and the batter is light and crispy. Owners are so lovely and their staff are very friendly and welcoming
Ordered tonight for 5 people. Delivered piping hot & absolutely delicious. Huge portions too. Highly recommend x
I tell you what iv had some chippys in my 38 years on this earth but this one either takes the entire throne or is extremely close! Recently moved to clowne and we heard about dolphin and it did not dissapoint! Had the meal deal number 3, have to say for how tasty that fish was, how crunchy that batter was and how delicious those chips were it was absolute bang for your buck! 10/5 stars if i could!

Asked for steak pie n chips pie deal just got steak pie n a small portion of chips for5. 80 n never got peas or gravey i also asked for two fryits which got dumped on top of the chips instead of seperate not good service n i felt ripped off first n last time for me
Called in for just a fish to take away...we know the food is good here,but I stood in the chippy at least 5mins before anyone behind the counter even looked at me because they were full on doing orders to be taken out and delivered...That's all good business,and I wish them every success...but please Don't forget the caller's..I had to make my self known by saying excuse me, can you put me a fish in the fryer....This really is not the way to be with customers. The fish was good,but in business,good manners are important.
Ordered a Yorkshire fish cake, chips, fish, sausage and peas. The YFC was raw, some of the chips weren’t cooked, the sausage was dry and didn’t taste nice. Plus side fish and peas were good. Friendly service!
