   Called in on a Friday tea just fancied a fish cake which was my first ever call in over many years of knowing it’s there but not called in but it was a pleasant surprise a very tasty fish butty with a few chips which tasted very nice indeed that should do me nicely for a night shift - I will definitely be calling in again a very polite service plus very welcoming if passing give it a try

   Just had small chips, fish and regular peas here this Tuesday lunchtime served by friendly and polite people. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty indeed, real quality. I'm now extremely full and content. Very clean and tidy establishment with a free car park to the rear.

   We came here on the 31st of May 2022. Whilst the fish and chips are very nice sadly the portions let it down somewhat. Because the chips are placed into a cardboard container before being wrapped up the portions are very small indeed. I did also find that the batter was quite thick and not very crispy at all. It’s a big shame because they are very pleasant staff at this fish and chip shop. If you want the finest in the area go to Oakenshaw fisheries
