Nov 2025 - We've had many meals delivered recently and have a five star service each time. I would recommend.
We normally come here as this is close to home!!. But never again. Tonight we went in and started to order half way through the order he answered the phone and took someone else’s order . We waited till he had finished then the phone rang again and he answered it again asking us to wait . Appalling service this is the third time it’s happened to us and the last time also . We ended up going to woodhouse to the golden star which was amazing and large portions too
Always top restaurant quality food delivered hot and fresh. Everything is top knotch and we especially love the handmade pork dumplings that are made in -house and that come with a spicy soy dipping sauce. The family that run it are lovely and friendly.
This is the first time I have ordered from here since it has changed hands. The delivery was really quick and the food was piping hot. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ends. We ordered 2 x large munchy boxes, which are Salt and Pepper based which come with egg fried rice. The chips were completely smothered in salt to the point they were inedible. There was no other seasoning on anything. The chicken tasted ok, but it wasn't salt and peper chicken. The ribs were tiny, 60mm long on average. They weren't even big enough to call mini ribs. And finally, egg fried rice normally has some egg in it!!!! These had NONE. Sorry Food First, but I can't recommend anyone to order from you. The food was terrible.
The food ok but keep getting the wrong food I order 3 times now ... and when I rang to tell them , the guy on the phone did not seem to care at all . Any way there are plenty of other food places in the Village As I will not order from here again after last nights mix up !
Really happy with this Chinese. Thought we would try it because it is new and it did not disappoint, it was very nice. We got the duck, chicken fried rice, chips and tofu with broccoli. This place has a lot more vegetarian options than usual Chinese takeaways so this was really good because I never get a Chinese because it's so hard for me to eat at them. The food was very tasty, the rice was so good. Would definitely order from here again
Tried First Food for the first time yesterday. It was the definitely one of the best takeaways I've had in a long time and I will be going there again. The staff in the shop were friendly and helpful, the service was quick and the food fresh and very tasty.
Best Chinese I've ever had, my fillet steak chop suey was amazing ,every meal was first class,piping hot and speedy delivery, all fresh and quality, definitely ordering again.
We’ve just had a takeaway from here and it was truly awful! We had aromatic duck and it was just crispy dried out meat with a very strange taste. I called to complain and explain about it and that I wouldn’t want a replacement to be told “That’s what it should be like and how it should taste” We’ll never be ordering again, very poor customer service!
Just tried for the first time, I spoke to a really friendly member of staff whilst I was stood waiting for my food. Really nice fresh food when it came. Will definitely go back.
