Not sure what to think of this if im honest, ordered from you guys few weeks ago. Was asked to leave a review if I enjoyed the food, which I did. I then go to order food from you guys again today to be told they can't deliver to my location. Huh. Very confusing.
Just had a delivery from here and it was absolutely vile. You can tell the food was old. The rice was at least a day old and had been microwave the chicken was hard and peas shrivelled. Chow mein looked and tasted awful was brown whilst the curry sauce was not even hot as it had set almost... very disappointed and sure won't be ordering from there again. Also the prices for what they are serving to people is ridiculous. I've just compared these prices to a much recommended Chinese in chesterfield who delivery to Eckington and wow what a difference. We have just returned the said meal to Jade house as was awful and now waiting on a Chinese to be delivered from chesterfield.... cant wait to try this one as many have recommended it. Should off listened the first time. However we did get a full refund from jade house
Fine as long as you like your food with added hair. used to be a regular here, probably ordering at least twice a month but not anymore. Called to complain they really didn't seem that bothered, no refund offered (all the food had gone in the bin after finding the hair) just a 10% discount if I ordered again and a half hearted apology - I honestly think they thought I was trying to scam them! Things can and do go wrong sometimes its how companies deal with these things that shows how good they really are - Jade Garden failed terribly.
Ordered takeaway last night 5/4/25, it was the worse takeaway we've ever had it was all cold, I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, sauce in a separate tub (cold) chicken balls cold and tasted oily and greasy, egg fried rice cold and a special chow mein which was warm but not hot, after a couple of mouthfuls we binned the lot. Worse 25 pounds we've ever spent!
Food was prepared quickly, collected, and served at home. When opening the container, I was hit with a bad-smelling sweet and sour odor. The served food was very disappointing. The chicken, which was supposed to be crispy/fried, it was wet and slimy. It tasted like cooking oil/fat. The vegetables were uncut and massive compared to the chicken. The meal was comparable to a microwave meal. If I had to choose between buying food from jade garden or having a microwave meal, I know which I would choose—simply because I know I could finish a microwave meal.
Worst Chinese meal ive ever had. Scruffy premises ,beef chow mein meat like mincemeat. Cold when got it home. I taste straight in the bin .
Wait nearly 2 hour for a £34 quid meal to be delivered to then have to throw most of it ... salt and pepper box had frostbite and the beef in the curry was like chewing a slipper. Things were getting back on track here but yet again it's a joke. No stars !!!
If I could give them less than 1 star I would. After the meal I ordered I was extremely ill all night. Never again!
Absolutely horrible small portions for money and food was cold took 1 hour 30 minutes to be delivered and im only in eckington not be ordering again
Amazing food one of the best Chinese I have had. Order straight from restaurant as apps charge £2.50 before you start. Just a small downside their egg fried rice isn't very eggy. But sweet and sour dishes are amazing and plenty of the pork balls etc. I have never been disappointed with any dish. Except the fried rice. But its OK. You must try this Chinese I don't go anywhere else now.
