Food is mediocre, Service is adequate, but the overwhelming lack of smiles and banter is painful - would it hurt to smile and make customers feel welcome ?
Just been in after the Mrs has been telling me about this place for months. Had a dipped pork sandwich with everything as recommended by the staff (who were lovely).. absolutely amazing! And nothing like anything ive had before.. My new favourite sandwich shop! Without doubt ill be back for more!
Ordered a king size pork sandwich with everything on and usually there's plenty of meat on there. Today they only put two thin slices of meat on. Really disappointing
They need to stop taking on-line deliveries while-ever they’re using CityGrab. They have no drivers in the area and it’s not unusual for your sandwich to sit for 60 mins or more which leads to a cold and horrid tasting sandwich
The best pork sandwiches. The quality of this sandwich is phenomenal. Each element works perfectly to create this incredible sandwich.
Didn’t listen to my order, I said stuffing, apple and no crackling, she wrote stuffing and crackling on the sheet. But then I could tell she wasn’t listening when I was talking to her. Not like it’s a hard job, just LISTEN to what people say, smile and write it down. Properly. Also, the hygiene is bad - they handle cash / coins, take the bins out wearing the plastic gloves they also make the sandwiches with. You should probably expect to get an upset stomach at some point if you regularly go there.
Been coming to Crystal Peaks branch for a good few years once a week. It’s standard Beres fair, the pork is very nice and the bread is always fresh. But by god do I need to leave a full negative review for the service. Please tell your staff to SMILE, say “thank you” or “have a nice day” maybe once in their lifetime? I have never experienced a more miserable set of old matrons collectively in one place. Since this is so obnoxious and consistently bad, I would have honestly thought this was some kind of deliberate homage to Polish or eastern European culture in general, had the 60’s photograph of the original Hillsborough branch in the shop’s front window not showed the staff laughing and smiling. I’m guessing those people are now rolling in their graves!
Cracking hot roast pork sandwiches with all the trimmings. Very tasty. Just over £6.00 for two regular sandwiches. One member of staff wore a mask, the other didn't. There are screen on the counter and there is a queuing system out side the shop. It wasn't too busy but there was a steady flow of customers.
