Just had a special fish and chips ! Batter was hard and chips weren't cooked properly we wont be going again
The owner and staff make you feel welcome and ordered a fish cake which cost £2.40 which is very cheap compared to other chip shops I've visited, the fishcake had REAL COD pieces which was nice and moist, the batter was a little greasy but this could have been due to it just coming out of the fryer and I couldn't wait, a very busy chipshop which also do kebabs and wraps, Food hygiene ratings 4**** A must try chippy if in the area

Have I just had a religious experience ? Is this the most price friendly chippy in the country? Last time I bought fish and chips from a chippy I nearly fainted at being charged £12.40. Not at Chips and Scales. A large fish and chips to go at just £7.60. Kind people do exist in Sheffield. Well recommended by me to all lory drivers looking for a good meal at driver friendly prices.
Very lovely takeaway, incredible staff who are always very welcoming and helpful. Only place I know who haven't increased there prices, and their food is amazing, no corners are cut, and you're left coming back time and time again. You get some absolute bargains for meals here, would highly recommend everything on the menu!
Got the £4.00 special. Mini fish, chips and mushy peas (with salt n vinegar obviously)... Pretty decent fish and chips, reasonable portion, tasted quite good. Would revisit if I was close by and wanted the same type of food.
