Never eaten here although we keep saying we should, looks amazing from what we've seen. We've typically stopped here to use their delightful outdoor drinking patio. Great cocktails, lovely wine and a decent Guinness.
Friendly staff but food was awful. They didn't have any pastries, the cooked breakfast came and they'd forgotten the eggs, the pancakes were rubbery and stated they came with maple syrup but it was definitely honey. Very odd. Unfortunately didn't have time to reorder or send it back. Would not go again, especially considering the price.
Lovely hidden bar/restaurant just off the roundabout - though connected to the hotel the bar is open to the public and has a variety of cocktails, wine, beers etc. with a few deals at certain times. We had some cocktails and fries and were very happy with the service and price!
We had an absolutely lovely meal here the other night! All the dishes were exceptional and beautifully flavoured! Service was immaculate and I personally enjoyed being able to watch the kitchen staff at work. Highly recommend this restaurant! (Only managed to get a photo of the amazing crumble as everything else was rapidly eaten!)
Oh dear! So dreadfully disappointed. From poorly mixed cocktails so crammed full of ice cubes that the cheap cardboard disintegrating straws can't drink them, through to some food that tasted on a par with what you could buy in a supermarket (avoid the pigs in blankets). The service was good. We had an efficient, courteous & attentive waitress but the 'small plates' concept of mixing, sharing food works only if it comes out in a way you can genuinely share. Also, interpretation of classics is to be expected/desired but some options were just pretentious vanity dishes (the crumble is an insult to the dessert) There is clearly skill in the kitchen but for a place of Michellin quality, there was no wow-factor and our whole party was underwhelmed.
Just dropped in and really enjoyed our visit, it wasn't what we was expecting but on viewing the menu it was a little confusing but the waitress was very knowledgeable and described the food to perfection. This is a different kind of dining as it is not the quantity that everyone is accustomed to but the quality and taste is absolutely out of this world along with the presentation. We had the four Hunters collection and two sides and that was more than enough for two. The wines are of a good quality with a good selection and the cocktails being of a high standard. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon.
A very enjoyable meal with family in a lovely environment and good service. It is a little confused though as it doesn't seem to know whether it's tapas or fine dining! It's therefore stuck in the middle and not as good as it could be for either. The food was lovely (especially the (bits of) fillet steak), but the portions too small for a main course, and too un-tapas-like to share. For me, it's quite overpriced as you need 2 mains + sides to make up a decent meal, but a nice experience nonetheless.
What a wonderful meal we had. Probably the best Sunday lunch we have had for a very long time. Great food and great service.
