Really bad if you have any sort of dietary requirement. Staff looked at us as if we were stupid for asking if someone was vegan and wouldn’t help with telling us what ingredients were in what we wanted.
Very disappointed with the Special fried rice. More veg than meat. Even plenty of Carrots. Very little sauce. Also chips not the usual tasty chips. Quite dry No flavour.
So disappointed in this place. New customer, been three types without problems. Went yesterday and then woke up last night with the most horrendous food poisoning. I’ve literally not eaten anything else so it could only be from here. The people are really nice and the food is good, but after feeling the way I have for the last 12 hours, I can’t ignore this. Clearly something in the kitchen was off or contaminated.
If I could give it zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusting the “food” I got from here. The “ribs” are just deep fried pieces of pork belly with absolutely no seasoning or anything on them just slimy disgusting pork. Everything lacked any sort of flavour or seasoning. Do not order from here it’s absolutely vile
Food is always good but can't believe they still only take cash. I went in recently and was told I couldn't place my order until I'd got cash from the cash point. It was out of order and I had to find another. When I went back the girl serving me was really rude when I put a pound short on the counter. It was a genuine mistake which I rectified. Not great customer service.
Had many meals from here over the last couple of years , always good tasty hot . Highly recommend this place , best seaweed ever
there was a fly in my rice. This was definitely a fly and NOT burned rice! I checked when I seen it in my food, if you zoom into one of the images you can see the wing. This it gross as I’d already eaten some of the food, would never eat here again, makes me think twice about eating out all together.
I am a fairly new customer to China palace angmf the first couple of times the good was amazing, so last weekend I ordered food for my son and his friends and within a couple of hours my son was feeling unwell and he ended up being sick with food poisoning. Will never use China palace again and we have now been put off Chinese food, feeling very disappointed.
We now religiously order our Chinese from here, it is absolutely the best I have ever had! Everything is always spot on every time, food is hot and delicious and the service is so quick! I could not recommend this place more! Ordered nearly 10 times from there now and same great result every time, I am yet to be disappointed. We tried out so many others in the area but I am so glad I was recommended this one - it is hard to find such consistency!
I did give China Palace 5 stars the last time I reviewed it, but this place has plummeted to a dreary new low a few years on. I remember a time when your Chinese takeaway dish came with an assortment (well, at least two or four) of vegetables like broccoli, bamboo shoots, green/red peppers, water chestnuts, baby sweetcorn, pak choi, beansprouts, mushrooms, carrot, onions and even cucumber. Not at China Palace. They should rename the items on their menu "Onions with..." because large pieces of onion make up half of every dish! I very recently ordered King Prawns with Ginger and Spring Onions & fried rice. What I received was ridiculous. Fair enough, the King Prawns were cooked to perfection. Succulent and sweet without a hint of being overcooked The remainder of the dish was, well frankly, a joke. It consisted of thickly sliced ginger pieces, one (count 'em) spring onion and onions. Lots and lots of white onions (see attached pic) Oh, and the sauce wasn't particularly flavourful either. The fried rice? Tasteless, sticky and overcooked. All this for over £8...
