   Really great food, my go to despite it being completely out of my way, thankfully a friend lives nearby and I always try to make a stop here. Staff are friendly and feels very clean. Food is very fresh and I've never had anything too greasy. The opening hours are a little weird for a chippy is my only feedback! Not open on a Saturday at all.

   Crispy batter on the fish. They do scallops, I had one to eat in the shop. But don't tell my wife, I am supposed to be cutting down. The staff were friendly. What was useful is their car park at the side. So yes a nice 2 cod and large chips was had...I said don't mention the scallop.

   I arrive not realising they were just closing however the guy frying offered to put a fish in for me and although I said it was no need to do the extra work he insisted. Within a few minutes fresh fish and chips were wrapped along with my peas and barmcake . In summery friendly service, prepared to go one step more which for most businesses at the endvof the day was unusual. Thank you very much.

   Excellent fish and chips, batter was lovely and crispy not greasy. The chips were cook to perfection. You can always tell a good chippy by how much of a queue there is, well with Plank Lane chippy the queue was out onto the pavement. I would thoroughly recommend this chippy.

   We got fish chips and peas on our way home. Had seen the chippy regularly and kept saying we'd try it. The only problem we had was the chips were undercooked, they weren't just pale but actually slightly raw, need to be cooked longer until chips are slightly more coloured. Fish was fabulous and staff were very friendly.
