Used to be one of my favourite chippys, but just lately food is not as good, had fish on last 2 occasions it was vile, it all went in the bin, not for me anymore
Chips fish peas , the whole lot in the bin , absolutely vile. Very pour quality fish. Dry chips. Inedible. Shame used to be good.
The young lad and what looks like the owner absolutely disgusting customer service no apology when someone was served before me and I told them , so I had to wait again just a load of abuse saying I was wrong I was not wrong. Take responsibility when you are wrong a simple sorry wouldn’t have gone a miss. The two ladies on the counter however were very nice and polite I will not be returning to this place ever.
Under new management sausages was not good was warm ups from dinner or day before chips not that bad when fresh made
Great fish, chips and peas and they do a small portion of the same. That's staff are efficient and pleasant.
Just like to say we were not happy at all with our recent order. Beef blackbeen - beef was chewy and tasteless and the sauce was unbelievably watery.. didn't taste like blackbeen at all. Beef chow mein - beef was tasteless and the sauce was tasteless too. Sorry but it was horrible. What a waste of £24 it was. Won't be ordering again unfortunately
Had Chinese food, burger and doner meat with salad. Large portions great value, slightly longer wait but that was due to amount of people waiting. No card payments available, cash only, but a cash machine available in the shop next door.
I go here on a regular basis. Not the nearest chippy to my house, but definitely the best. Lovely staff and very quick. I always ask them to cook a fresh fish for me and they are always happy to do so. I can certainly recommend this chip shop.
