Never had so many bad chips in a portion. Black ends, some green. Been like it last few times now.

Decided to try this place tonight for the first time. Ordered for pick up so it was all nice and hot when received. It was quick and friendly service too. Food is delicious. I gave it 4 stars because we ordered Duck Spring Rolls and Veg Spring rolls. The veg ones were clearly marked on the bag but unfortunately they were mixed up. Just need to be careful with this whilst it is food! I will definitely be back though.

Ordered from here on the 4th of October and the order never arrived — couldn’t get through to the shop at all. Decided to give it another try tonight, but unfortunately, the experience wasn’t much better. After waiting an hour and a half, I called the shop to check on the order, but they didn’t seem very sure where it was. It finally arrived about 30 minutes later. The chips were very undercooked and the prawn toast was soggy. Quite disappointing overall.

Couldn’t tell you about the food as we never got it. Ordered on line on Thursday 2nd October worth £18.15. However it never arrived. Called to chase and they never answered the phone. Called several times over the weekend and still no answer. Tried again tonight still no answer but the money has been taken and cleared through my bank no food but £18 lighter in the bank

Had a great experience at Ashton Fish Bar! The fish and chips were absolutely delicious – the batter was light and crispy, and the fish was fresh and flaky inside. Chips were golden and perfectly cooked too. I was genuinely impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. We noticed some of the lower reviews mentioning cold food or issues with delivery, but that definitely wasn’t our experience. We ordered in person and everything was piping hot and clearly just cooked. Sometimes delivery can vary, but for us the food was top-notch. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming – even gave us a sausage for our dog who was waiting in the car with us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Small things like that make a big difference and show they really care about their customers. Highly recommend stopping by in person if you want a proper, fresh fish and chips meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Very poor service. I ordered food for delivery. 1hr 40mins later it turned up. 55 mins later than expected time. Not happy. Even more unhappy when i find out upon opening the food it is cold. No more orders from me.

Saw it was doing a brisk trade, stopped and so very glad I did. A warm welcome, excellent service with freshly prepared piping hot food. It was delicious and well presented too. I'll certainly return - the SatNav is loaded. - Now, I read the other reviews: the complaints I read all relate to slow deliveries and the results are always the same for any supplier - as a Londoner I'm used to failures by those third party apps - it's why I prefer to visit in person. - Long delays cause cold orders and what may well have been perfect when prepared for despatch will often spoil, becoming rubbery in the process - that's just basic science. - I don't know the area and the particular issues any delivery folk face - but I did notice a lack of moped riders sat around in the main road - where I come from they are always to be seen in double figure numbers, always at the ready - like station taxis, just waiting for bookings. - I suspect here the order gets placed and a driver has to pick up the job, commute, collect and then deliver - times are hard and those folk frequently try to combine multiple drops to simply make a living. Of course your order will suffer if it's on the way back from a longer higher paying job. - We have the option to pay an uplift to be the first delivery, and we can track in real time what is happening over the 'net. But even so our orders get cold within a six minute journey - have you ever tried bringing a carry-out home yourself? It always needs a warm through before eating - why would a delivery service be any faster? The same road traffic laws apply and they've not usually got the incentive to speed directly to your house.
