Stockton Heath in Cheshire is a charming village with plenty going on, so we decided to pay a visit and stop by Pannyβs. The first thing that stood out was how clean and well-maintained the shop was, with friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered fish, chips, and mushy peas with gravy, and one thingβs for sure β they serve generous portions. The fish was a beautifully fresh and tasty fillet of cod, the mushy peas had a nice consistency and were full of flavour, the chips were cooked just right, and the gravy was spot on. I also tried the potato scallops and a battered beef burger, both of which were quite enjoyable. However, as with the fish, I found the batter to be a little on the heavy side and holding a little oil. That said, I believe you can request different batter thicknesses, which Iβll definitely do next time and opt for a lighter coating. What a great & good value Fish & Chip shop, very friendly and the fish & chips were great, with the fish being freshly cooked while I waited. It was also great to see so many people ordering. Will definitely go there again.

Disgraceful!! Came in today and ordered two fish, chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. Paid over Β£16. Was stood there whilst lots of customers were coming in and out getting served. I was left there for nearly 20 minutes. Then i asked them have you forgot about me? They said they had. Shame on you. Take my money and don't give me the food that i paid for. I will never come again. You just don't treat customers like that. If i hadn't have said something, you would have just kept my money. I would not recommend you to anyone. Don't trust you anymore. Beware..

For your typical English fish and chips experience you can't go wrong by visiting Panny's. The food is always fresh cooked and delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Don't forget your cash though as this place doesn't take cards. Also, because of the quality you can expect a queue, but it's definitely worth it

The food is ok but the staff is very rude. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was the last time I went there.

Thought it was decent. Disappointed with, I assume, the Haddock (that had to be fried fresh causing the batter to be all soggy once home). Difficult to avoid I guess unless they let it rest a little like the cod piece which was lovely and crispy. Mushy peas and gravy decent. Battered sausage tasty.
