   I wanted to share a review to show how fantastic this place and its staff are. We order from here all the time. We had a small error tonight with our tea, but this was cleared up in quick time. The staff were so apologetic and we were given extra bits for the mistake which were completely unexpected but gratefully accepted. Food is always top notch and reasonably priced.    First time visiting and must say we were very pleased, warm friendly and welcoming service from the staff, food was delicious and the chippy was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning and look forward to trying more from the menu. Return visit was just as good, food is great and good portions. More pics added.

   I'm absolutely gutted use to love going to this chippy every Friday night I was in for fish, chips n mushy peas unfortunately that won't be happening anymore went In today and the food unfortunately was horrible. Batter on the fish was abit soggy but I can deal with that, chips weren't cooked enough unlike the scallops that I think was cooked yesterday and left in the heater overnight for that extra Crispyness that definitely wasn't needed.

   Tried this place totally random as was hungry and that was the closest place, and it's a nice place. The atmosphere is great and the servers are very nice to speak to. The food is very nice from what I tried, and will go again if I'm close by. For basics tried the chips and gravy and it was nice, the thing that set it off more than other chippys was the Onions on top of the chips really added a different angle from the standard. Also tried the chicken tikka and potato roll. Crispy pastry and chunks of meat and potato was decent and for £2 would easily fill you up. Something different. The chicken kebab was decent with lots of chunks of chicken and flavours wrapped in a naan type bread. The chicken burger was nice with the bread being grilled added another angle and taste. Would recommend and well done to them for trying different things instead of standard chippy shabite.

   This used to be a good chippy. Unfortunately for.the owner due to his very bad decisions on what he feels fit to now serve to loyal Customers while charging elevated prices is going to cause him financial ruin in the very near future . Do not rip people of only you will lose. Ps the staff are great the food was total rubbish ..

   The Wallgate Chippy had been recommended to me already, so I gave it a try myself and if I’m being honest I was surprised. This Chippy is very clean, the staff are so welcoming, there is an area for the kids and the food is nice. I only came in for a quick Portion of Chips and as far as Chips go, they where nice. Definitely be back at some point Thanks!!!

   'Kin best chippy in Wigan! The chicken kebab as well is the tastiest I've ever had in my life! I won't go anywhere else now. Great menu and loads of deals and choices. Lovely staff too.

   The peas were tasty, chips a tad soggy but okay (although the gravy chips were fantastic). The fish had good texture, well battered and not too oily. Tasted great, and a good portion size for the meal for the cost.
