Highly recommended. Had breakfast with Santa for 4 kids and 5 adults. Everything was perfect, fantastic Santa who was excellent with the kids. Really good value for money Would definitely do this again.

Came on a Sat night for a birthday. Walked in and could not believe how loud it was and it was rammed. Banging music combined with people shouting over each other to be heard. We had booked a table for 6. We were told to go and get a drink then come down to the table. It was so rammed you couldn't move and there was no chance we could get served at the bar. Shown to table, by rude man. It had table settings for 4, when there were 6 of us and all had to squeeze on to get us all in which was uncomfortable. Then we're told 'we're really busy tonight so you can only have your table for 1hr 30mins'. Luckily this wasn't true but not a great welcome. The food was ok, nothing to rave about and we couldn't hear each other over the constant thumping music. The girls who served us were lovely and did say it's not the best to come for food on a Sat. I think it needs to make up it's mind what it wants to be, either a bar or restaurant. Or just turn the music down a bit. Wouldnt come again

Had a fantastic meal at Posthouse in Orrell recently. The ribs were genuinely some of the best I’ve had—perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and falling off the bone. You can tell they take care with the preparation. Pairing them with their freshly made mojitos was spot on—the drinks were balanced, refreshing, and not overloaded with sugar like you find in some places. The atmosphere was relaxed but stylish, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a great spot if you’re after quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be back.

I had booked a table last weekend for my 30th birthday, it was my first time ever going in posthouse and I'm not sure if I will come again. My friends was ringing me as I was leaving my house to tell me that they got to the posthouse and they was claiming there was no table booked under my name despite me ringing up twice 2 weeks before then a week before to confirm numbers for the table. This meant when we all got there there was no where for everyone to sit as it was busy aswell. When I spoke to someone who seemed like he was in charge he just allowed us to sit at the table they sat at for meantime knowing I said there was 7 people and when I looked at the table I realised there wasn't enough room for the last person to sit down when they got there so I had to go back to the manager to say there isn't gonna be enough room. He then went on to say there is aparantly nothing much they could do (even though it was their fault why the table had not been booked in). Then he sat us in the bar area even though we was all eating food as there was no where else to go. They then brought out knives and forks and didn't even put enough out on the table for everyone. The food was taking a long time to come out and it was making me late for the next place I was meant to go so I had to get up and sort it out when I should of been relaxed on my birthday, when I questioned about the food wait he had nothing to say other than "we have a full restaurant of people" and didn't even tell me an estimate of how long of a wait it was going to be. Then it was a bit convenient how the food came out to us 2 minutes after I had gone up to ask for it so they obviously had forgot about us because we was put in the bar area. The food was average but definitely not worth the price of what it is and the chips you get with the burgers are very small portions considering the price you pay. Overall the place didn't seem bothered about all this they had caused even after us telling them about how bad the service was and that they made us really late for the next place we was going to. The table was supposed to be booked for 7 at posthouse and we was still eating food at 8:40 as it took over an hour just for them to bring out the food.

You will not leave hungry! As the staff correctly comment, the chef is a 'bit of a feeder'. Had the Cajun chicken sandwich and a fish goujon sandwich both on ciabatta. The food is well cooked and presented but for a sandwich there is just too much packed in there. In some ways that is not a bad thing but if you do stop for a quick lunchtime sandwich, you will not be wanting your tea later : ) Staff were lovely. Helpful and friendly. As a motorway traveller passing through, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Popular venue in the centre of Orrell. Went for the steak night special. Steak was cooked well but the fries were very scrappy. The downside however was the service which was extremely slow. No desserts offered and had to request our bill twice and pay at bar since no one came to take payment.

Really disappointed. Have been for drink few times but first time eating here will sadly be the last. Fries were barely cooked (and tasted like ‘cash and carry frozen bargain range’! My chicken burger was ok but chicken was tough and not very tasty. My friend had ribs which were also a disappointment - they need marinating in the sauce not just brushed on top after cooking!! On a positive note the local beers are a great idea and always tasty and the Friday night singer was very good.

My first visit. Passed by many times. This is a nice place, well kept real ales and a tempting food menu. I didn't eat, but plenty were, so it must be good!! Its entered in the 2023 Good Beer Guide, which highlights well kept beer. I'll definatley visit again. Parking needs to be sought as there is no car park, but parking is available nearby.

We came on Saturday with my family for lunch which included a 4 year old. We ordered drinks and waited 45 minutes for them to come ended up asking at the bar and that's when we were told they had forgot. After waiting over an hour for our food we asked were this was upto and we were told our order was forgotten again. As a regular I am extremely disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. We had empty glasses left on the table throughout our time there which we had to clear ourselves. Would think twice about returning now.

Absolutely fantastic service , every need attended to and staff quick to clear courses and make sure drinks are topped up. Beautiful location, clean and fantastic menu to choose from. Would give five but starters and main were very small portions which might look good but ended up me having to get more food elsewhere after.
