Walk in late lunch. Seated under the canopy but was a little wary of the yew berries just above. Quick service after ordering with the waiter. Both beers were good. Food is overpriced but I suppose it is got to do with location. My selection of 6 sausages was excellent with terrific mash. Not a fan of sauerkraut but it was fine. Salad seemed an afterthought out of a bag and I would have liked more. The schnitzel was really good although the cold potato salad is jarring- personal preference to have had something warm. The MΓΌnchner bratwurst with the pan fried potatoes was good although my son felt the portion size was small. The waiter had bought us pots of mustard and ketchup. Tap water available. Lots of families and atmosphere is convivial. It suddenly rained so although we were under cover we had to move as the rain was dripping down off the edge. Clean toilet behind the lodge. Small play area for little kids.

Stein’s is the go-to for Bavarian food in London. I’m half German and the dishes they offer feel quite similar to food in Bavaria. Note that, Stein’s is generally very expensive considering it’s mostly sausages and some potatoe/bread sides. However, I think they do deliver quite well so it’s worth it for a visit. I’ve tried Stein’s in Kingston, Richmond, and South Kensington branches and I think Richmond has the least attractive atmosphere compared to the other two. I think South Kensington is probably the best one. Note that, there is only outdoor seating and even though they have outdoor heating lamps, it can still deel cold.

If you're seeking a delightful and welcoming spot along the Thames in Richmond, you simply must visit this authentic German Beer Garden! Just a short stroll from Richmond Bridge, it boasts incredible, panoramic views towards Richmond Hill. Beyond the scenery, we loved the true family-style experience, complete with shared tables shaded by large umbrellas which are brilliant for protection from the elements. It's clearly a place that embraces everyone, as it's wonderfully pet-friendly. The combination of superb food and a genuine selection of Munich beers made for an unforgettable afternoon. We can't wait to go back!

Nicely located german sausage restaurant to sit outdoors. When the weather isnice it is a delight to sit and have a sausage and a beer. You can only order beer if you are eating something. They have nice weissbiers. The sausages are tasty , too but the prices are a bit too steep. Yes, the location is a great bΔ±t along the sausages the potato and the salad ia very basic. You order the food using the barcode on the table. The service is friendly and quick enough, even if the restaurant is full. Worth a try if you like sausage and beer at a nice weather.

Absolutely fabulous little German riverside restaurant and Beer garden. Quite frankly one of the best Schnitzels in London and the sausages were not bad at all (if a tad Salty). The service is impeccable and friendly and all German speaking. The Beers and cocktails were a treat too as is the amazing riverside view sitting on the terrace. Top tip: Book your table... or you will be sitting inside which is still great (Music played is outstanding) but the terrace is a highlight of you can get it.

Been here a few times because of its nice location by the water, good sausages and fantastic beer but it’s a pain in the a** to make an order online through their system - the website just kept loading every time I want to select the item and literally froze when I wanted to pay! I almost gave up and was ready to walk away then the staff member offered to take order on their tablet. I’m sorry but in this era it’s very disappointing not having a smooth digital experience. Please somebody fix this because I’d love to come back here and not have to go through that frustrating ordering process again.

A small outdoor German restaurant with bench seating and online only ordering. I had the meat loaf with fried potatoes and it was a lot of food. Overall the food was 3/5 but because of the location and atmosphere is a 4/5.
