I've had a lot of curries but nothing matches this, what a hidden gem. Fantastic food superb service. Can't speak highly of these guys ever minute was Fantastic. Guys why go to the curry mile when this place is the true king. Brilliant
My partner and I have been regular customers of Balti Spice for nearly 3 years now. Steve and the team are so welcoming and attentive and it really does feel like a nice, relaxed vibe inside. We always book in advance in case they are full but Steve is always willing to make space for us even on his busiest days if we decide to just walk in. We have both tried a few different dishes and we love them all. Food, service, atmosphere and staff 11/10!
Our first time here after my Brother recommended it. We were made very welcome from entering the restaurant. The food here is amongst the best Indian's we've been to. It's also very good value for money and will return with friends and family soon. The owner is very friendly and a nice man.
I had not had a curry from the Balti Spice for years as last time it was average. So i thought we would give it a go since a few people had said it was really good. However it was no different. Poppadoms were stale and the curry that I ordered wasn't what I asked for. Never complain, just dont go back. No where better than the Palace.
Stayed in the Premier inn rang for take out delivery it came piping hot 10 mins ahead of time and hand on heart was one of the best Indian meals I've had. Good job Balti spice.
What a restaurant. We order a take away, and I was blown away by the flavour and good quality. I went for Chicken Kathmandu and wow, that was spicy but sweet. Best curry I've had in a long while. Cheers James
Always order from here due to having the best vegetarian options, went inside for a sit down meal for the first time in a couple of years and it was even nicer than delivery. The staff are so helpful and recommended dishes which they thought would suit our tastes if we fancied trying something different. Only a little restaurant, thankyou for a lovely time :)
Took my Partner here she has never had an Indian meal in a proper Indian restaurant. Greeted by happy smiling staff and ordered drinks, Menu very extensive so we will be back to try more soon. The food from the starter through to desert was nothing short of fantastic lots of flavours and choice. I will do photos next time.
Ste the owner is the gentleman who started his restaurant skills way back in the 70's. He was a very loyal waiter at the Indian restaurant opposite The Theater Royal. He's dedicated his life to St Helens and I am proud that he serves the very best and fresh ingredients at his restaurant in Duke Street, 'The Balti Spice'. I highly recommend Ste's establishment. I will admit, I love Indian food and the Balti Spice, is certainly the best of the best. Ste also serves several very chilled beers.
Excellent staff will cater to any food u wish for even do slimmers world meals just try it it's real tandoori cooking
