   It's a wonderful no frills venue with new upcoming bands playing. Me being in one myself (suckerpunch). It's a lively venue with a great atmosphere. Mike (the owner) is very welcoming and has been my bands saviour giving us gigs for years with stockport music service and now on our own. It's a very special venue and after a couple of trips it has a very warm home like feeling. It's got a great sound system which makes bands including mine star night in night out. There is a good drinks selection and I have never tried the food but I'll give the crisps the benefit of the doubt. The service is great and Mike is always smiling which is great because it just adds to your visit not just seeing great upcoming bands and even having the privilege to play on that stage but to know the owner is behind you and the other bands every step of the way.

   The BEST venue! The heart of any establishment is it's staff. This is what makes The Spinning Top, not only special, but an incredible place to be. Mike, the landlord, is the kindest, and funniest guy you will ever meet. Our band (For The Hornets) travelled a round trip of around 9 hours to play here, and we were treated like royalty by all of the staff. It rubs off on all of the customers too, as complete outsiders we were made to feel like family. The Bar: Extremely well stocked, with a huge range of craft beers, wines, and mainsteam lagers. My draft Peroni was ice clod and in a Peroni glass - they take pride in what they do. The whole place was spotless, including the loo's. Playing as a band: As I mentioned we were treated like kings. We borrowed the house equipment (a god send for a travelling band) and it was all fantastic. Mike done the sound better than most professional sound engineers that we meet. Epilogue: The following day I had a panic attack that I'd left some vital grear at the venue, and woke Mike up at silly 'o' clock in blind panic. He was calm and extremely helpful. I'm so grateful for this. My was head slightly sore from over-indulgence.... but my abs sore from laughing all night. Absolutely incredible venue. Best in Stockport and Manchester. Would travel a long way out of my way to visit here again. 11/10.

   The Spinning Top bar is a fantastic little no frills venue that shines with it's fun atmosphere. We had the pleasure of enjoying live music from the Cassette Apes, and they were absolutely brilliant! The owners were incredibly welcoming, creating a friendly vibe that made the experience even better. We can’t wait to return for another fantastic evening! Highly recommend!

   We travelled down to see a band we liked who were playing at The Spinning Top in Stockport. What a fantastic venue for live music. Great atmosphere, great stage, friendly staff, great music …..we loved everything about it!

   I've been in here several times and always has a great night because I love live music. They started an open mic night on a Thursday which I went to and it was great! The beers are good and the guys that run it are ace. It's a real highlight of Stockport and everyone I've spoken to in there have always been well down to earth.
