    Never going back again! The small chips are like small kids size maybe 50 grams of chips for Β£2.50. The paper and container weighted half of the food. Very disappointed!

    Usual girl wasn't in today and you could tell. Chips weren't cooked properly all hard. Two fish n chips and large saisage on one meal and when I was paying she said she hadn't charged me as sauage wasn't at it's best. To be honest I'd rather she said I just won't serve it. We ate the two fish but nothing else. Not the quality we usially get from here so will avoid for a while

    I know they can do better. Everything was fresh and tasty just poorly prepared and boxed. The fish was only half covered in batter and the chips were so lightly fried they would never have been crispy anyway, but the mushy peas mixed in with them ensured sogginess. Come on guys you know better than this.

    We eat at The Nelson virtually every Friday, meeting our daughter on her lunch break. On request, they reserve a table for us, which is brilliant because our daughter only has an hour for lunch & Fridays are very busy. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is great . There is a fair choice of food which is mostly very good. It a great place for us to meet up & catch up.

    Ordered a large chips and seperate barm, half a small portion of chips stale barm and still came to over Β£10 for two lots. Never again. 17 chips and the woman behind the counter was just saying how she couldn't wait to go home... Clearly couldn't be bothered to cook more.

    Was a big fan of this place the fish and chips were the best in town, however not anymore been 3 times in last 6 weeks and portions getting smaller and smaller yet prices going up. Best to order a kids meal for price as there is no difference, come on Lol ( the owner sort it out !).
