I recently attended a Sip and Paint event at Nostrano Lounge, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. First off, the atmosphere was a bit mixed. On one hand, the venue itself boasts nice decor and a cozy vibe, making it visually appealing. However, the event was a bit overshadowed by diners who didn’t seem to be part of the Sip and Paint experience. This created an odd mood shift, as I was expecting a more vibrant, art-focused crowd. While it may just be a matter of my expectations, it did feel a bit disjointed. Now, let’s talk about the food. We ordered three tapas: chicken wings, lamb kofta, and squid. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. For £15, I expected a bit more than just two chicken wings and two lamb kofta served on a dollop of sauce. The squid was decent, but definitely on the dry side. Given the price, the portion sizes felt very underwhelming. After finishing the tapas, we still felt hungry, so we ordered chips and halloumi fries. Unfortunately, the portions for these were also small. By this point, we were so discouraged that we decided against ordering any main dishes. It felt like the event was more of a money-making scheme than an enjoyable dining experience. Another frustrating aspect was the cash-only policy. In a world where card payments are the norm, I found this quite inconvenient, especially since it wasn't clearly mentioned on the menu. Additionally, for those who have dietary restrictions (like avoiding pork or beef), the menu lacked a decent variety of options, which seemed quite limited. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and attentive, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, especially the restrooms, which had nice amenities for women. Overall, while the Sip and Paint idea is fun, the execution at Nostrano Lounge left much to be desired. The food quality and portion sizes need significant improvement, and a more cohesive atmosphere would enhance the experience. If they can address these issues, there’s potential for a fantastic event.

Have been to this lovely place a number of times over the years. Recently I’m really enjoying the veggie breakfast and have ordered it a few times (I’m not vegetarian). Highly recommend it, and compliments to the chef. The service staff are always so accommodating and asks about food allergies from the get go. Would be great if more restaurants are attentive to that.

Most disgusting breakfast I've ever had! Loud music on Sunday morning, order by the bar only, orange juice served with ice which I've never asked for, not cooked egg, small portion, terrible sausage, cheap and low quality ingredients, £46 for disgusting breakfast for 3 people, never again!

We stop in with our little dog for a spot of lunch after a walk. The decor is fun and the staff and services friendly. I had a brisket chilli that was extremely tasty with jalapenos as extra, that I can heartily recommend. We did ask for a portion of unsalted chips that turned out may have been salted. But a very pleasant and worth dropping in if your looking for a spicy chilli.

I was taken here by a friend after she and her friend enjoyed the food the first time they went. Well, the second time wasn't the same at all (in her opinion) While the food looked delicious and tasty, I did not find it to be that tasty as well. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its looks. It was pricey as well. The drinks they served were nothing we expected. It was very upsetting as the weather was gorgeous and we were having a pleasant time, but the food didn't meet our expectations. Staff and place looks good though. Interior art and design is quite interesting.

Completely. Delicious. By far the best value tapas I've eaten, with brilliant, friendly service and impeccable food, it's very difficult to find better value for money in many places but this really is amazing. There were a lot of cocktail options and the one I had was great, and the menu was well structured and concise, with just enough description to read quickly but be informative. Couldn't recommend more, and will be returning for sure.

What an amazing experience. The staff were really attentive and made sure we had a great meal especially with a gluten free diner and a fussy eater. I'd highly recommend the bang bang chicken.
