   AVOID Still waiting for delivery on a Thursday evening - delivery said 40 mins to an hour, it's now been an over an hour and a half. No communication from the restaurant yet he was quick enough to ring immediately after ordering and very rudely ask if they needed a code to enter the building then hung up! Tried requesting an update multiple times, no response. Tried calling 5 times on the number he called me on - forwarded to voicemail. Supposedly it was "on its way" 40 minutes ago according to the Uber Eats app yet I'm 5 minutes drive away and still waiting! It's not a lot to ask to keep people updated if there's a delay and I don't appreciate being lied to! Will not use again and if the food arrives and is cold I will be requesting a full refund. Avoid this place, wish I'd gone with Spice Express again instead, will be in future as they were lovely, friendly and the food was wonderful! UPDATE - 2 hours, still no food. Finally got through to speak to someone who told me the delivery boy couldn't find it so took it back! No notification of this from the restaurant. Person I spoke to was at least apologetic and said he'd get the food out to me "when he can" and offered to give me the same order for free next time. Given that this is my first time ordering from them, who knows if the food is even any good though?!

   I would never recommend going there with your family. I went there with my two kids and was refused service for no reason. The only reason I could think of because I was Irish so my advice to anyone is a very rude guy at the door. And if you want to be refused, don’t go as I asked the guy. Do you want me to book online or make a reservation? The place was completely empty and he told me no we don’t serve you here.

   We've been ordering from Taj Mahal for a year or so. They have always been incredibly friendly (especially Tan), and the food: fantastic. I'm leaving a review now because the chilli chicken masala was especially good today. If you've changed the recipe, keep it up!

   Took my 2 boys here and they loved it! We had to park a way away as this is on a main road. We were the only people eating in the evening we went so service was swift, attentive and helpful. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but we were all hungry after a busy day at Thorpe park, food was an average sized dish which is great because we all get full on Indian food quickly and always leave loads. We took a variety of dishes from vegetarian, meat dishes, spicy and mild and cannot fault any. All dishes came super hot, well presented and most of all very tasty!! Definitely worth a visit and somewhere we would all go again!!

   Went for dinner here and absolutely tasteless food…ended up just paying for drink and left. Unfortunately the reviews are good here hence reason I tried but definitely doesn’t warrant 4.7 out of 5*

   Amazing meal, very attentive waiter food was cooked perfectly and nothing was too much to ask. Very happy with our visit and will be visiting again in the future.

   I am not going in to details of what we had to eat, it was all excellent. This was our first visit to this wonderful curry house and I had one of the best curries I have had in more years than I care to mention. A word of caution portions are very generous. It maybe a little while before I return here as I live in Spain, but rest assured that this restaurant will be on my list very near the top
