Absolutely loved it here! The food was amazing — especially the mixed grill, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was just brilliant — warm, lively, and welcoming. It felt very traditional and authentic to Turkey. You can really feel the care they put into everything. Easily one of my new favourite places — can’t wait to come back! P.S (amazing cocktails by the way)

CONGRATS ON 5 STAR FOOD HYGIENE GUYS! BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!! I had such a wonderful lunch at Cappadocia in Walton-on-Thames! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere stood out – warm, inviting, and full of charm. The décor is stylish yet cozy, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Everything we ordered was fresh and beautifully presented, but I have to say, the standout for me was the watermelon. It was incredibly refreshing and juicy – the perfect complement to the warm summer day and the rest of the meal. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Whether you’re popping in for a light bite or a leisurely afternoon with friends or family, Cappadocia hits the mark. Highly recommend!

A Turkish Restaurant That Misses the Mark ..Big Time This was honestly one of the most underwhelming dining experiences we’ve had in a while. First off, the service was painfully slow, it took 40 minutes just to get our starter. The place was only a third full, yet the waitresses were visibly overwhelmed. One of them was dressed more for a night out than a dining place, which felt pretty off for a supposedly family friendly restaurant. They’re trying hard to sell a “Turkish experience” but it just falls flat. The food looked nothing like the pictures on their glossy, book like menu. Sloppy presentation, wilted salad leaves and dips that lacking taste. Apart from the Cheltik Iskender, which was probably seasoned and well cooked, everything else was forgettable and bland. The real kicker.. Flies. Everywhere. We had flies buzzing around our food, landing on the rice, even crawling up the side of the main dish. It was genuinely disgusting. To top it off, they served rice in a severely cracked wooden bowl, which felt straight up unhygienic. The decor was just sad, chipped paint, worn out flooring, tired looking furniture. Instead of feeling cozy or authentic, it came across as neglected. Would not recommend.

We visited on 11/2/23 Saturday late lunch 14:20 ish. There was a very warm welcome and a choice of seating for us and plenty more. The volume of customers was just right not too many and not empty despite the lateness of the time. I chose the Organic fillet of Salmon. Organic Salmon fillet pan fried in unsalted butter with crushed fresh herbs and white wine (optional), topped with roasted almond flakes served with sautéed spinach and roasted sweet potatoes. I didn’t recognise the sweet potatoes because they were white tasted just as good. It all tasted just as expected and I loved the sauce although I would have liked a little more. The salad had a lot of dressing so I would ask for no dressing next time. As we didn’t order a starter, we were offered some olives to keep us going as all the food is freshly cooked. My husband chose Adana Shoulder of lamb minced, blended with spices and herbs, char-grilled and served on lavash bread with bulgur, salad and sliced red onions. This was tasty but very spicy so he asked for a yogurt dip which made all the difference. (I don’t know it’s proper name). He also ordered chips which arrived (thermally) very hot. My only comment is that the plates could’ve been warm to keep the food warmer for longer. We don’t eat very quickly. The food came in good time. We didn’t have pudding as it was already a late lunch. A lovely complimentary square of sponge, soaked in something delicious like honey, arrived while we were waiting to pay. We had a lovely conversation with the waitress who was from Ukraine, and had been in the country several years. The menu is very extensive and each dish has a picture which is always helpful with such innovative looking food.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. The staff were really friendly and polite, Laziza was our waitress and she was very good, we were presented with the menu, a great full colour “book” full of pictures of the food as well as the choices. The food was exceptional, served in good time, pipping hot and full of rich deep flavours. Very tasty. Had a bottle of Turkish white wine with the meal, again a very tasty easy drinking wine perfectly complimenting the meal. Great portions at reasonable prices. Highly recommend visiting, I would love to come back.

Well what can I say. Firstly when we went to discuss our booking we were told there was no space for our dinner and we were not in the book. There was a mix up, but we met the owner when we tried to sort issues out. He personally found a slot for us which was great. The place was beautifully decorated with lots of oriental ornaments. It was cozy and had a good vibe. The waiters were professional and cheerful and went all out to make us comfortable. Now the starters were of such a good portion that some of us were almost full when the food came. The food was well presented and the prices not bad either. We had a great time. The toilets were clean too service was reasonably fast. The meat is well seasoned delicious and they make some mean cocktails. What can I say, almost a year later, food still amazing.
