   We will go back to the Golden Flower in future. Friday evening we ordered just ordinary chippy grub ( not Chinese meals etc) it took 2 HOURS to arrive. We rang back after 1 hour and they said it will be with us in 25 minutes !!! Eventually turned up an hour later, and was swiftly sent back with the driver. Not good enough, no matter how busy it is.

   Lovely heavy fish. Long but really thick and heavy. A stomach filler. Chips are a little hard for my taste. But that's just a personal choice. I like chunkier chips. Over all 2 fish and chips 2 drinks £13.80 not bad at all.

   Well searching for a decent chippy and came across this one with great reviews so click clunk I was on my way. As I parked up at the back the doors where open and I could see the chefs With there's woks busily cooking and others running about busy. Ordered the hot and sour soup as usual as I hunt for the holy grail of hot and sour soups. And this comes close. It has that dark smokey look and taste I love , with loads meats and vegetables in . And wasn't sickly sweet like most others.Very tasty. Chicken Shenzuan was lovely and spicy with lots of fresh baby corn. Carrots and green peppers and onion. The chicken was real chicken and there was lots of it. Big chunks , these guys aren't stingy on the meat. Very satisfied with this meal. And once I mixed it with the tasty fried rice and excellent chips crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle it was a very decent meal indeed. The half roast duck with a lovely hoisin sauce tub was meaty and came with plenty of cucumber and lemongrass but I felt this veg was not fresh . The cucumber had no moisture in the bite. Probably been in fridge for a long time. But these guys were busy and ran of their feet so no harm done . Only negatives about coming here ...it looked like a scene out of shameless outside. Lads with tattoos on face and dogs on and off the leads lead , shouting and lager in hand. Will be back

   Placed an order on line for delivery. Went through without taking payment so phoned up to explain. Spoke to a very rude man who advised I had selected to pay on delivery, I explained I hadn’t as I had no cash and need to pay by card. He said I couldn’t pay over the phone so I asked how we sorted the issue out and he told me it’s my problem he hasn’t got time for this and put the phone down. I ordered from somewhere else (experienced was much better) half way through eating the food we ordered from somewhere else a delivery guy (who was really nice an apologetic) turned up with the food from Upton Fish Bar! I explained the situation to him and told him his boss is very rude, all the delivery guy could do was apologise and on his way he went. All the owner needed to do when on the phone to me was either cancel the order and ask me to re-order so payment could be made or tell me if I re-ordered with payment he would just send one order out. Instead he was rude (shouting to me that it’s not his problem) and put the phone down well it ended up being his problem as he had food which will have had to be binned and all because he thought he could speak to people like dirt!!!!

   Great food as per usual. But arrived 40 mins early. My wife comes in from work at 6pm. Food arrived at 17.20 so her food was cold by the time she ate it. I ordered online for a 6pm delivery. I love this chippy but you really need to stick to the time that was allotted.

   What can I say... The last 2 times I've been and ordered food the wait has been too long... They always apologize but that's it... I'm waiting and people come in and order and are sorted before me ... I could get a delivery faster from somewhere else

   I phoned my order in and it was ready when I arrived. The sweet and sour was hot and really nice. The egg fried rice I had with it was also good.. The whole meal cost less than £8 and I could not eat it all. I'm going to enjoy it for my lunch today.
