I've been coming to this place for ages. Was worried when the new owners arrived but this chip shop is like the Hidden gem of felton. Great stuff. Great food every time. No complaints whatsoever!

The food here is decent – the chips are nice and a large fish costs £8.50. The fish itself isn’t actually that big for the price, but still tasty. Curry sauce is good, though the pot size could definitely be bigger. Can pay cash or card. Parking outside not always easily accessible but also street parking nearby. Service is a bit hit-and-miss. The lady at the counter always seems quite miserable and not very friendly, but the man who cooks the fish and chips is actually nice and chatty when you catch him on his own. The shop does get busy, which shows it’s popular. At the end of the day, it’s the food that counts – and luckily we’re eating the fish, not the attitude!

The chips were old chips refried. And full of chips scraps! Called and I was told "it's not possible as we cook everything fresh" also asked if I heard that that they serve the best chips and their just eat reviews are raving. Clearly what I had on my plate was something else! And the curry sauce? Lol. It was more oil and uncooked spices nothing like the traditional chip shop curry sauces. First time tried not again. The people reviewing this place highly as I was told by the server clearly need to eat out more. This is not fresh food! *Reply to below owner response* 1) I never said they were soggy I said clearly the chips are old chips refried. I even offered photos to the lady who answered but she didn't want to see them - kept stating like a mantra we cook fresh. 2) they did not arrive cold so no way delays because of driver. My order arrived 30mins after I ordered so wasn't a long wait atall! They arrived with hard bits and inedible. I think the photos attached speak for themselves. 3) really poor customer service where you constantly make out the customer is lying. You really need to get a grip and see the photos! You sold old chips that have been refried - hard bits full of chip scraps. Even just eat didn't dispute this from the photos I sent. I can see lots of other reviewers commenting same thing and I can see you even claimed falsely you never give chip scraps to customers! You do a bag full of then actually. Admit your mistake and apologise then you are more likely to retain customers. As mistakes only happen. But clearly is a common bad practise of your establishment if so many of us complaining of same thing. This is what you get for cheap and cheerful. And I guess lesson learnt don't order cheap on weeknights as you will only get old stuff fed to you.

Found and came here after seeing great reviews on Google maps and I must say I was not disappointed. Food was very well made and absolutely delicious. Family owned business too and a member of owner was present to take the order. Very polite, friendly, welcoming and courteous lady. Must visit and try.

5 stars! I’m not allergic to gluten but it’s nice to know their batter is gluten free making it easier on the digestive system. I ordered a large cod with peri salted chips and the batter was deliciously crispy and cooked perfectly fresh to order. I was well informed that it will be cooked from fresh and ready to go within 7 mins. I also ordered Cod Bites for that extra crispness and my kids loved it! Definitely worth a visit and will see you again soon! Thank you for providing amazing food in this area!
