Came across the Chesterfield last minute and we were so pleased we did. What a lovely place the decor is lovely totally our taste, really warm and welcoming. The staff very friendly and great at their job. The food was lovely we both had food of the specials board at such a reasonable price couldn't removed enough.

We visited this lovely country pub and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The waitress (Beth) looking after us was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her, which really made the visit feel special. We tried the fried Brie to start, which was delicious and full of flavour. Others tried the Patè which only had a small improvement we’d suggest which is serving it with a little more bread, but it certainly didn’t take away from how enjoyable it was. Despite our group ordering six roast dinners, all with different meats, the food arrived in good time. The portions were generous, everything was piping hot, and the flavours were spot on. The standout dish for us was the cauliflower cheese—honestly the best we’ve ever had! Desserts were lovely too. The cheesecake tasted great, though the base was slightly harder than we prefer. The brownies, however, were a huge hit and disappeared quickly! The pub itself was very clean and welcoming, and the easy, convenient parking made the visit even smoother. Overall, a fantastic meal with great service. We’ll definitely be returning!

We couldn't recommend The Fields enough. The food was perfect, we opted for the BBQ package and had so many compliments! The team were so professional in the lead up to our day, it was clear that they were very experienced in organising weddings and made us feel so at ease. The staff working on the day were so friendly - Vicky even carried a small sewing kit and was able to step in when a guests dress ripped! The space was everything we had dreamed of: a fun, relaxed summer wedding. We were able to drop all of our decor the day before, and collect them the day after - meaning that everyone could relax and enjoy every minute of the wedding day. We loved having some space upstairs where guests could go and have some quiet time, and the fields behind that the two of us could have some photos alone. The fresh pizzas were also a big hit with our guests towards the end of the night!

Called in for a late lunch on a Saturday. We hadn’t pre booked but the staff were happy to find us a table. Too late for their ‘lunch menu’, but that was fine. Lovely menu with a limited but good choice of sharing/small plates/starter’s, grill and main choice’s which is preferable to having ‘too much’ to choose from. Staff were friendly and attentive. We chose the Beer battered fish and chips, which came with peas and tarte sauce. The fish was perfect cooked and the batter was lovely and light, which meant nothing was wasted, especially as I wouldn’t normally have chosen this but a photo from a previous review looked lovely. The chips were light and fluffy too. The venue has a lovely outlook and also has a function room which was in use for someone’s special day. A really nice spontaneous lunch and would definitely recommend.

We celebrated our 8 year anniversary here and it was perfect. Before dining, we enjoyed a drink in the garden whilst the sun was shining along with spectacular views. The venue is beautiful, we sat upstairs and the service was second to none. The food was delicious and plentiful we had the salt & pepper squid and prawn & chorizo for starters then had the ribeye steaks which were cooked to perfection. After our meal, we returned outside to the garden to enjoy the last of our drinks and was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary pudding and anniversary board. Such a lovely touch. We didn't catch the name of the young girl who served us all night (long mousey hair) but she is a credit to your establishment.

This place used to be amazing, but it's lost its charm. This time, the food was awful. My starter tasted of raw curry spices. I did not enjoy it. The staff were overly busy due to it being rammed, therefore having to wait 15 mins for drinks. It's not how it used to be. The food looked stunning but it didn't taste great

To be honest if i could give it more than five stars then i would the place is absolutely stunning inside but its the staff and the food that make the place so special, the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us and the food was beautiful we will definitely be returning in the near future i would highly recommend popping in for a drink and some food.

Went for lunch with my daughter as this is where she is having her wedding reception next year. Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely relaxed atmosphere. We had a sharing board and everything on it was delicious. Coffee was also good, as we have decaffeinated and this can sometimes be either not available or awful but not here. Can't wait for the wedding meal!

What a disappointing evening after been recommended to book here as everything is cooked fresh. Triple cooked chips looked like they introduced to fryer. Not golden or crispy at all. Herbivore burger was dry.. no onion rings or coleslaw as per menu. Not once were we asked how the meal was. We wanted more drinks and only once they came round and asked one only diner, not all of us.. Had better desserts. Brownie and sticky toffee pudding were dry. Unfortunately Reg our waiter listened and fed back to chef. No comments from kitchen. Reg did a good job serving.. the place was not busy.

Went on a Taste Cheshire tour from Delamere that uses this place and it was FABULOUS!!! The food was AMAZING. Like a tasting board with tons of locally produced grub! The service was exceptional and the chef even came out to tell us all about what we were eating. Highly recommended! Well done!!
