   Ordered two rolls with bacon on 1 and sausage on the other supposedly with tomatoes and mushrooms on both. On the menu, came on dry rolls with over cooked inners bland unable to eat. At nearly £10.00 each. Waist off money.

   The starters were amazing, the roast was ok as the veg was very hard , the dessert is alot to be desired, only 2 options , donuts or chocolate fudge cake , I got the cake which was hard and it was the smallest piece of cake I have ever been given . Would I go here again probably not.

   Two stars for the two Positives: attentive polite staff, Food was tasty. Negatives: Roast dinner was small. No quieter tables/area. We were sandwiched between 3 Television’s showing a match not one person was watching and a blasting loud speaker, the football went off and a singer began, the music was far too loud we had to shout across the table and still couldn’t hear each other, we left. I want to support the restaurants in the village but I’m sorry and gutted to say all 4 of us won’t go to the Common again and wouldn’t recommend going there to anyone.

   Came here for a drink with my boyfriend, we had a lovely few drinks and were singing and laughing and joking. A member of staff, who I think was managing, a woman with short black hair quite rudely shouted at me to shut up even though people on other tables were doing the same thing. It really upset me and made me feel embarrassed. We left shortly after.

   I'm visiting my friend in Huyton and we decided to have a meal out . We chose to go to Common and were not disappointed. We were shown to a table and had a drink whilst deciding what to eat. We both chose the steak and oh my days it was beautiful. Cooked to perfection and worth every penny. The staff were lovely , very friendly and helpful . We had intended to just have a meal but ended up staying longer as the vibe was fab and we enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a lovely evening !
