We have been coming here for almost 15 years, but during our recent visits we were disappointed by unexpected charges. On one occasion, the owner charged us £4.50 for three small pots of ketchup for the kids’ meals. Four months later, we returned and were charged $1.50 each for take-away boxes for our leftover food. Unfortunately, this experience has made us decide not to return. The place has been getting quieter anyway.

Although this was my first time here, it wasnt for my partner who has frequented many times over the past 2 plus decades so reviewing as a newbie and a lifer. For my part the service and attention to detail was spot on. The food tasted great and authentic ambience a pleasure to experience. My partner feels this place has lost none of its character or great quality.

The restaurant is a must try, top service and not one single moment a waiter was not available even during Christmas season time. During busy time, the service was not once felt like it dipped. The food was just on point, amazing perfect level of spice and sizzlers available. The cost of the food is relevantly decent price and unlike many restaurants they do not add service charge, therefore I felt very happy to even tip the waiters. This is how a good and modern Indian restaurant should be situated like. Lastly, I loved the warm towels they offer you at the end of your meal service, I believe small touches like this matter towards a good dining experience. I believe for birthdays and seasonal events, this place does large bookings also and have been open for 34 years as the manager mentioned. That long in the restaurant industry can definitely be felt in your dining experience here. Overall a good thumps up from me and I will love to visit again and recommend this to many of my local friends.

I spend a lot of time traveling around the country, (London, Glasgow, Birmingham etc) and being a bit of a curry addict I always check out a local restaurant, some good, some no so good. But if you're ever in the Hayes area, on the Uxbridge Road, do not hesitate visiting Grapes Tandoori. The food and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly, courteous, and the food is superb. All dishes are cooked fresh, with generous portions, and the taste is amazing. I love spicy, so the vindaloo is my go to dish, usually it can be just chilly power hot, but this one was Incredible. Hot, yes but you could still taste all the other flavours a good curry should have - superb. and check out their mushroom rice -again unbeatable. I definitely will be going back.

Very good spot. Decent service and great food. The servers are a bit pushy or come across as “rushing you” but if you overlook that, it’s a great place for dinner and friends. The grapes special starter is not to be missed.
