1. Not a Local Guide ★★☆☆☆

   Have tried supporting this place but the last 3 times delivery has been short of items. The food quality seems to have deteriorated also. It's a shame as reluctantly we'll now have to look further away even if it means collecting. Not sure what's so difficult running a decent chippy.

   Avoid this place at all costs. Worst fish & chips ever. The chips were disgusting. They were mostly inedible, hard and gray in colour, some were just black. I was told the fish was Cod, it very clearly wasn't. It looked more like a river cobbler. It was tasteless and very little of it. In fact, I lifted off the soggy awful batter to find half the fish was missing. It honestly looked like it was brought in frozen. How do you dip a fish in batter, then oil, when half is missing?? The curry sauce was lovely as were the staff. This garbage cost just over £10. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Taking people's hard earned money and serving this. Btw, I'm not a troll. Just the average person who is tired of paying substantial money and being insulted. I have images of this 'food' but unfortunately there doesn't appear a way of uploading them here.

   This place shouldn’t be able to serve food , I’ve been a few times hoping for better quality and was dissatisfied every time , the kebabs are so greasy the bread fell apart!

   Don’t order from these jokers paid for a large fish and a portion of chips received a fish that was so small it was shameful place needs shutting down.

   Think they have a new chef because the food is consistently lovely . The chicken Shenzuan is spicy and the sauce is not a thick gloopy msg type if sauce. Prices have gone up but if the foods nice you dont mind. The noodles used are the thin vermicelli type and I'd prefer the thicker egg noodles . Edit months later: Tried the chicken and sweetcorn soup and it was very watery and not much taste but the hot and sour soup was smokey tasty with enough meat and sourness and not too sweet. But very concentrated in flavour so added a bit of water to water it down. Lovely with prawn crackers. The black bean beef was tasty as well and that was a bit concentrated as well so added bit of water to even out the flavours. Would go back They have a new chef so give it a try if you haven't been for a while.

   Been under new management for ages, just been fully refurbished to a very high standard. Danny and his Mrs are doing a boss job with this chippy. The food is fresh and of a high quality that you won’t find anywhere else. Get yourself down there you will see for yourself how nice it is! Miles better than anywhere else out there!

   So glad this chippy is open again!! Tried other places whilst it was shut and didn't find anywhere as nice. Had Salt and Pepper Chicken with Noodles and Chicken Fried Rice and both were delicious. Staff are always friendly and the new shop looks amazing!

   went to the gold star tonight not the usual chippy we go to, chips were cold and dry awful when girl was serving she put her fingers in them to pick a black one out not very hygienic will not be going there again they went straight in the bin after we tasted them.
