Food was OK but nothing special. Tasteless satay and pork belly dry. The portions are generous but my pad Thai lacks a bit of heat and was over cooked. The prawns in it were delicious and very fresh. Formica tables make it a bit cafe like but the service was faultless.
I’m a bit of a Thai foodie and been to just about every Thai restaurant around and, this is has quickly became my favourite, the Thai curries are incredible!
We ordered a home delivery and the pork dumplings were raw. We'd eaten half of them before we realised this. I called the restaurant and they were apologetic but left it with me to get a refund through Deliveroo. Not sure why it was on me to chase the refund, so I'm writing this review.
Definitely recommend the food at Thai Upon Thames! Five of us went for a family dinner, shared a couple of mixed platters for starters. We were immediately impressed with the quality, nice light batter and good standard for all the items on the platters. For mains we tried a variety of dishes, from traditional Pad Thai, Minced Chicken with Chilli & Thai Basil to a couple of more unusual dishes, Slow cooked Pork Belly and Lamb Massaman Roti. All of the food was great, better than the last couple of visits to other Thai restaurants, will be going back to try more. For starters, mains and a huge Chang each it was £31 each, a good price.
Came here with 6 friends of mine post-Twickenham rugby, and the service and food were absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was delivered quickly. Every one of us had a different dish (from pad thai, to spicy crispy duck, curries, calamari, pork ribs, and more) - every single one was tender and a perfect balance of flavours. I myself got the yellow yellow noodles dish with chicken thighs, and it reminded me a lot of the Chiang Mai/Khao Soi noodles I had when I was in Thailand myself. 5 stars. Highly recommend!
Best Thai I’ve had in the UK, and up there with the best in Thailand. Just a shame that it’s inundated with Deliveroo orders, making restaurant service so slow. However, it was worth the wait…

Great food and great service. Wonderful meal again.. quite authentic Thai food, if you want a genuine Thai meal. Also do lots of take aways it seems. Value for money.
Delicious slow-cooked pork belly, beautifully presented. The dessert was a perfect way to end the meal: coconut ice cream, with a delicious soft rice and exotic fruit. A Thai restaurant where the menu rewards ordering outside the ordinary green curry - trying something different here will surprise and delight you.
Lovely Thai food and great service. Highly recommendable. Just few minutes away from Richmond bridge.
