   We needed somewhere to eat before visiting Chester Zoo lights and this was the closest place I could find, so we weren't expecting a great deal. This place far exceeded expectation, the burger we had is one of if not the best I've had and my 11 year old grandson told the waitress he would give the restaurant a 5 star rating. We would definitely go again.

   Came for the Sunday lunch with the family, we order 5 chicken dinners and 1 ribeye steak dinner, with cal cheese, the food was delicious and great value for money. Staff are lovely very friendly and helpful. One thing is the some customers are quite rude to the team but other than that the service was great, the girl who served us always had smile on face and was very polite. Will definitely going back soon.

   We had a family celebration yesterday evening and we couldn’t be more happy with the food and service. The food was prompt, hot and delicious despite it being busy. Specially mention to our waitress Morgan who was a true delight. She was attentive, friendly and professional. We will definitely be back !

   Went in for dinner after wet day at the zoo. Pub was nice and warm when walked in and straight away the smell of the food in carvery smelt fantastic. Bar staff were welcoming young lady that served me I think was called Lindsey. We all ordered a soft drink and carvery each( 3 adults 2 children) chefs working on carvery one was Kenny didn't catch the other lads name but both were very pleasant. Young lady called Ellie brought are deserts who was also very attentive and smilie.

   We visited for my sons 8th Birthday after a day at Chester Zoo. The food was amazing and the Happy Birthday written on my sons dessert plate in chocolate sauce was fantastic it really made him smile. The staff were lovely too very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back when we visit the zoo again.

   The food was good for the price. All staff were excellent especially one of the staff who was a young lady who overhead someone in our large party of 9 ask another person in our party for a knapkin. This was not directed at her but she immediately went and got us some. Might not appear a lot, but to me that was really good example if the service we received that night when they were extra busy with the England v France game on.

   Table of 6. Some ordered by app, some at the bar. Starters arrived quickly. All very tasty. Mains arrived at the appropriate time. Again, very tasty. Generous portion sizes. My husband got 2 fish with his chips so I wrapped on in a napkin to take home. Our lovely waitress got me a box for it. Prices very reasonable for the amount of food we got. Things may take a bit longer at busy times but you'd expect that anywhere. It's a very popular pub. We we're lucky that we chose a quieter time.

   Had nice Get together with my family and first time coming to this pub. Overall nice place. Food was a bit delayed but cannot blame them as we were a large group (15 altogether) and I have no doubt if we were a smaller party they would have been quicker. Food was lovely decent portion size, my 14 year old didn't leave hungry (he's usually starving 10mins after my cooking lol) so achievement by you for filling a teen. Only negative was the toilets were a bit messy and outdated but that can be lived with. Overall lovely staff and atmosphere lovely very friendly and I would return. Thank you.

   Big pub . Food an drinks served here. Large seating areas in garden also. Family friend. Nathan an Chris are the amazing chefs.. so nice the food... lovely staff. Clean establishment.. deals on throughout the week. Good value for money. Disabled access.. parking available.
