The best chips and curry sauce I've ever had. Was just passing through the area but if I lived closer I would definitely be back. I definitely recommend

I’ve visited many times. The food is soggy, the chips are limp, and the fish is greasy. Half the menu seems to be missing most of the time with no real reason why. It’s like a game of “what can I actually order today?” And then there’s the cash only thing. In 2025, that just feels shady. Everyone else takes card, so why not here? Makes you wonder what’s going on behind the scenes. Eating here is like riding on a train and ending up on the shopping trolley with a squeaky wheel — overpriced and underwhelming food, not going anywhere fast.
New Chinese chef in!!!!, what a difference.. really nice chow mein... Always fresh food. Good value for money. Staff lovely... They have lunch time special offers on too which are really nice. parking over the road. Takes cash and bank transfers.. very clean place wheelchair access
Such a disappointment. We used to love their kebabs but they are really poor now. They missed items off our order, no salad on kebab as requested, free chips with kebab (are they free at £7.50 for a small kebab?) Were so small and to top it off I don't mind smaller portions if the food is good but the chicken meat was really chewy and brittle. It had been sat way too long. Such a shame
Very clean and big variety. Had fish and chips, generous portions but felt the fish was a bit overcooked as it seemed to disappear into the batter

Jan 2023 prices are about 25% higher than in the pics. Chinese and fish were both good but curry and mushy peas seemed a bit watered down. Service a bit slow, waited about 10 minutes each time.
Thanks for serving me with a pie that had an internal temperature of 14C (pic available with the temp probe if required) Why the person who served me gave it me I have no idea as it was clearly cold to the touch. Just shows the lack of care that anyone here seems to have anymore. Used to love this place but the staff are not pleasant to deal with. Decided to chuck the pie as I doubted if it was safe to eat even after a reheat, so a real waste of money. The battered sausage was not much better, tough and not very warm. I give up on this place.
The best chippy in Chester by miles , the chips are always the right size and cooked perfectly. The fish isn't greasy just the right crisp and the fish is fresh and perfectly flaky. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else. The other chippy up the road counts the chips they put in your box.
