Unfortunately, the day we visited for lunch, it was raining heavily but the staff were incredibly kind and understanding. They let us dry off in the restroom and showed real compassion, which made a big difference. We didn’t have to wait long for our food, and the portions were generous, we even had to take some away. The bill was reasonable, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. It spans three floors, with the second floor being ideal for larger groups. The food presentation was lovely, and the flavours were decent, though not the best Italian we’ve had in London. Still, a pleasant experience overall, thanks to the warm service and atmosphere.

The food at the restaurant was really delicious! It was our first time trying Sardinian cuisine, and even the older family members enjoyed it — it was quite well accepted. The Sicilian tomato salad was especially sweet and flavorful. The owner clearly cares a lot about the chefs — he introduced us to the lovely and very charming chef who prepared our meal! You should definitely making a reservation before you went there.

Best Italian in London. For its food and service. We had the pasta taster, all of them incredible. Could only taste 4 out of 6, so will have to come back!

Came here after walking around Richmond Park. It looked quite homey so we gave it a try. Got seated straight away - we chose to stay outside as the inside felt a bit stuffy, although the table outside was a bit wobbly. The service was good and got checked on several times throughout our stay. For the food, we opted for the special of the day, which was freshly made spaghetti with octopus, and pasta with nduja sauce. We enjoyed both dishes - really tasty and felt like a home cooked meal. We also had parmigiana as a starter and I must say it was absolutely amazing! Loved it a lot. Overall, great little place. The food was good and I enjoyed my time there, but it didn’t really wow me. Nothing was wrong, but nothing stood out either. I’m glad I tried it, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

A taste of Italy hides in Richmond. The food is amazing, flavors true to the Italian tradition. The wine list is small but filled with gems. Service is impeccable and friendly. A joy.

I was lucky enough to find this place on a busy Saturday in the summer and get a table with a view of the street outside. There are a few tables inside and a few more outside. The wine, pasta and cannoli were delicious. Bread and olives were given to me while I perused the menu, which was an unexpected and welcome touch. There’s traditional Italian music playing and scenes from Italy on the walls so you can almost imagine you’re not in London at all… The staff - there were 3 waiting staff - were always present without being at all overbearing, and the perfect balance between polite and friendly whilst giving you space to enjoy your meal. The food was truly wonderful and so I’ve no hesitation in recommending this place (while at the same time wanting to keep it to myself…!) My only wishes were small- to maybe tone down the music - some of the tracks seemed so stereotypical they were bordering on cliché and just to get the bill quicker (which is something I find in every restaurant in the world…) But thank you so much to the staff at L’assaggino who gave me a wonderful lunch and a special thanks to the chef who made those heavenly cannoli. Divine!

Very nice place, located in a cozy small building in Richmond. The staff is welcoming and professional and you can certainly feel and taste the Italian passion for food. Fresh ingredients and interesting menu.

Amazing place in the heart of Richmond, but feels like being in Italy. Great service, everyone was very kind. I highly recommend the dessert "millefoglie".
