I first visited Mai Thai many years ago, long before the era of widespread online reviews, and the food was amazing even then. After a long absence (for no particular reason!), I recently returned for dinner, and I am happy to report that it's just as good as I remember—if not even better. I ordered the Prawn, Basil, and Ginger stir-fry with steamed rice, and the sauce was truly exquisite. I've had variations of this dish at many other Thai restaurants, and this version at Mai Thai is, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, I devoured it before I remembered to take a photo! The beef salad (I believe it was a Yum Neua style) was also incredibly tasty. I’m generally not a fan of cold/chilled meat salads, but the freshness and flavour of this one completely won me over. The cocktails are definitely on point too! We enjoyed a couple of Lychee Martinis each; they had the perfect balance of sweet and alcoholic—we could have easily stayed for more. My only minor niggle is that I wasn't particularly drawn to the dessert menu, but that’s purely down to personal taste and might be perfect for others. In summary, if you are looking for fantastic, high-quality Thai cuisine and you are close to Wimbledon, you absolutely must visit Mai Thai. Highly recommended!

We ordered Pat thai ,the portions were very small; I was expecting something tastier. I won’t come again because it wasn’t filling at all the portions were just too small. I’m sad to say I didn’t get full value for my money.

Visited Mai Thai Restaurant prior to going to the theatre, at 6pm on a Friday night. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was colourful and tasty. We booked our time as not a big place, while we were there people were coming in but not all table were full

Unfortunately didn’t enjoy the taste of the oil used to fry the spring rolls, and the same with the beef. Asked for extra spice on the red curry but it still arrived mild. Service was polite but nothing special.

Great and Affordable Home Cooked Thai Cuisine at the Heart of Wimbledon. Lovely interior in and out with relaxing ambience for your dining experience. The food was of high quality with generous portion. One serving is good for 2 to share. I also love the dish sauces. Very authentic and great to the palate. A great service with a smile too.

The beef in the red curry was obviously undercooked and the tong-yum soup was bad and unauthentic (I never had this kind of clear-broth-like tong-yum). Very disappointing dining experience.

Great restaurant with friendly staff and great selection of Thai food. My favourite is the Tomyang seafood noodle for lunch, pretty generous portion with fresh sea food. We always order the Som Tam, and it is always well seasoned and ripe to perfection. It is a child friendly place, spacious enough to place a buggy.

Now I was introduced to Thai yellow 8 years ago and feel in love. Many Thai restaurants do not have this is their menu. Mai Thai Wimbledon does and I’m so happy to have in my local town. I was in heaven with every bite. Iced coffee was very well made and I will always recommend. Parking is easy as 2 near car parks either side. X

Really really small and when all tables are taken it gets really loud. Maybe I just picked the wrong dish but was very disappointed when it arrived! I ordered the stir fry with seasonal vegetables with brown bean sauce and please see picture....when they brought it I genuinely thought there's something else coming. It was just a handful(!!!) of steamed vegetables in bean sauce....I had to order rice for it to fill me up. I would have expected the stir fry to have either egg noodles or rice noodles or something OR AT LEAST bean sprouts.
