What an experience from start to finish. The visit was a present for our mums 80th birthday. You are looked after from the moment you walk in, we had the set 3 course menu, this was exceptional. A special thanks to Maddie one of the waitresses who had just moved to the Ritz from the lake district, a young girl, but very honest about her work, i am sure she will excel in hospitality world, especially fine dining.

Our 6th visit and a disappointment. The food was fine and the service was ok but the cost was quite ridiculous for what you got. There seems little innovation. The menu was almost exactly the same as what we had last year. A main course of a pigeon is quite humble and not what you would expect. The experience seems to have been downgraded immensely. The entertainment was just a pianist whilst previously it has been a singer also. The room was pretty empty and this says it all. Its sad. It was a dependable standard for us to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays but this will be our last visit.

We had the seven course menu and every course was excellent. The service was fantastic with special mention to the Albanian waiter we had, he was so professioanl in his approach and was an excellent asset to the team. There was one other waiter, who delivered our tea service, who was on “robot mode” held no eye contact and the service felt robotic/rehearsed/emotionless he rushed too much which was shame. The atmosphere is clearly very formal but it was welcoming and we were treated excellently. My only complaint was the table of two 50plus year olds who decided that they would each each other faces for around an hour, the conversation was vulgar from them as was the “slobbering” noise while they tried to investigate each other tonsils. The staff should have intervened as they were taking it too far and it really wasnt pleasant to have to listen to/observe. Aside from this pair of guests, the who experience was fabulous, amzing food and mostly top class service. Highly recommend.

It was okay. The service was good and FOH staff were nice. The food was bland. Very little flavour in all the dishes we tried. The dishes were nicely presented but there was not much to them. Surprised how The Ritz have retained their Michelin star, as the food was not of that quality. Dining room of course is lovely!

Absolutely sublime experience at the Ritz! Every bit as fancy and impressive as it was expensive! Definitely worth it however for taste of food presentation quality and ambiance. We went for my mom’s birthday on 9/16/25 and dined on the 7 course meal. Of note for the course meals everyone in the table has to do the same experience. This delectable delight had the perfect amount of savory and sweet and was definitely good enough portion size to be filling as well. Each course was a culinary delight with robust well paired flavors that lended to the next dish. The service was also outstanding everyone was attentive courteous and well versed on presentation of the dishes. The ambiance was also amazing quite striking elegance in a more intimate setting. They additionally made mention of my mom’s birthday and ensured that this was recognized. I appreciated their hard work and dedication to making my moms birthday meal memorable

The atmosphere itself is beautiful. There is a coat check where you can get a tie or suit jacket if you don’t come in wearing one for the men. To start with you need a reservation ahead of time to get a seat which we did a month in advance. The dessert that comes with the afternoon tea we’re not appetizing everything was lemon based we did not finish nor ask for seconds. The scones were pretty good along with the jam. The sandwiches were not bad we had seconds. We ordered a birthday cake ahead of time which was delicious hazelnut flavor. They also ask if you want banana or hazelnut loaf cake before you leave a slice for each, we got the hazelnut one it was okay, we had a bite and left the rest. The champagne is only a glass you pay extra for and not unlimited, which was fine. When it was time to go we were told we can only take the scones to go and the cake we paid for, which was strange because when we went to forum mason in the past we were able to take anything we wanted to go without any issue and we’re able to take extra. Honestly, if you want a great afternoon tea experience we suggest fortnum mason, it was amazing. The service was okay, we noticed the manager just sticking to three single females the entire time we were there and gave couples an attitude for asking photos and such. In all, it was okay nothing special for 250 pounds.

Of course the live at the Ritz was a fabulous experience like no other. To be able to dance and see dancing shows is amazing. And the food was overall very good. I went for the 5 courses and the last course, the Mont Blanc, you can see its picture, was extremely sweet. It didn’t affect me not giving 5 stars but it could be better.

Lovely experience and really good value for lunch! The steak tartare starter was very tasty and beautifully presented. From mains, the pork was definitely the winner. Overall, the apricot soufflé dessert was definitely the star - I would come back just for that. As expected, amazing wine list, beautiful room and impeccable service.

We went for the 7-course dinner menu and were extremely impressed. First off, the Ritz itself is extremely beautiful, and the dining room is no exception. The menu was well thought out by the chef. Every one of the 7 courses was unique and highlighted a different flavor. All the staff members were great, however they did seem a bit understaffed. There were not enough servers to keep an eye on every table and refill waters, for example. As the dining room became more crowded, waiters seemed to be frantically running around.

We had a really lovely afternoon tea at the Palm Court. The Christmas decorations made it even more special. We enjoyed the egg brioche, finger sandwiches, sweet bites and scones with jam and clotted cream all served with an extended selection of specialty teas. Loved the ambience!
