I personally hadn’t tried Mexican food before, so this was my very first experience. Starting with the appetisers, I chose tamales and jalapeño poppers. The tamales weren’t really my cup of tea. I had high expectations from what I’d seen in movies, TV shows, and YouTube videos, but they reminded me a bit of fufu with dry pork, which I didn’t enjoy as much. On the other hand, the jalapeño poppers were amazing I absolutely loved them. For the main course, I went with the five-taco sharing platter. As you can tell from the visuals, it was a generous amount of food, meant for two people. The platter cost £20 per person and was very filling. The chorizo tacos were the best in my opinion, and the real highlight for me was the sauces I loved them. However, I didn’t realise the sauces were an extra charge, which slightly put me off. Nonetheless, overall I had a good experience and enjoyed trying something new.

Went to Mestizo with a friend and with colleagues from work for a Christmas party. Attached are photos of the Nachos starter with a glass of the Horchata. Very nice, sweet and refreshing. The other is the taco tray create yourself. Shared between three of us. Very nice. The only disappointing thing was I asked for a specific meat and we were given the wrong option. The staff were lovely throughout the evening, and the drinks were amazing. For the Christmas party, I had AGUA DE JAMAICA which I would highly recommend. So good, I can imagine even better during the summer! And to celebrate, they also kindly gave us a shot of a frozen mojito which was amazing to wash the meal down and finish the meal on a high note! Can't recommend Mestizo Enough! We were also quite a big party, so we had to pay a deposit, £10 per person, which was then taken off the bull at the end. And Paola was so great with us and the table! Thank you so much Paola!

Incredible food in a wonderful atmosphere. Every mouthful (and there were many mouthfuls) was delicious. We had the sharing box and starters of empanadas and nachos. We are so wonderfully full. A great evening was made even better with the excellent, friendly service we had from our server Richard who made great menu suggestions and brought service with a warm smile. Thank you my friend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We visited Mestizo for dinner with a friend on a Monday evening, and it turned out to be one of the best, most authentic Mexican meals we've had in London. What really stands out is the menu. This isn't just your standard burrito and taco joint. Mestizo offers a fantastic variety of great, traditional dishes that I haven't been able to find in other places. To go with the food, they also have local soft drinks from Mexico. I tried one that was like a cola but with a unique, different taste—a great touch. We visited at the end of October, and the atmosphere really highlighted their respect for tradition. The restaurant was decorated for Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead), which added to the authentic, cultural feel of the evening. As a fun bonus, it just so happened that on Monday, they were running a 50% discount on everything starting with "M"! This wasn't why we went, but it was a pleasant surprise. We can highly recommend Mestizo. If you're looking for true Mexican food in London, this is one of the very few places that gets it right. PS: thanks Paola for great service and all the help

Had lunch here today with my husband (who’s Mexican). Food was incredible. We normally have a difficult time finding good Mexican food around Europe. My husband even said the tamales tasted just like his mom’s. Juan Carlos was our waiter and he was super friendly. Will definitely be going back as often as we can

What an experience! The food was out of this world, and the service even better! The waiters were super nice and careful, and helped us pick the right food! We shared some starters and had the volcano main dish (molcajete mestizo).. still unsure which I liked the most :) Would definitely recommend the main dish with the volcano, that was amazing and tasty to share!

If you've ever had real Mexican food from California, Texas, Arizona, or Mexico you should skip this restaurant. There's nothing authentic Mexican about this food. The margaritas are good, but they're 10GBP and a served in a tiny Martini glass, which is absolutely no value. The only good thing I can say any this restaurant is that the staff is great! Super friendly bunch and they all speak Spanish and are from Latin America. Other than that, skip this place if you're looking for a real Mexican dining experience.

Amazing buffet brunch on Sunday: traditional Mexican food (stews of beef, pork, chicken, meatballs, veg options, rice, beans, and tamales) plus tacos made to order. Everything was delicious. The best Mexican I’ve found in London, and I’ve tried a lot. Most people here are Spanish speakers - I don’t know accents well enough to identify if they’re Mexican! But I’d hazard a guess. Forgot to check the price before ordering but I don’t care what it ends up being. Sublime.

This is the finest and most authentic Mexican restaurant I have experienced in Europe. Unbelievably excellent, in fact, far exceeding my expectations. Their starters, margaritas and premium tequila (and Mexican beer) selections are phenomenal - and are matched only by their gracious hospitality and outstanding service. If you need a delightful taste of authentic Mexican food, Mestizo will most definitely satisfy your cravings. Make sure to visit their adjacent store as well for a great and rare selection of ingredients for home cooked Taco Tuesday!! 12 on a scale of 10…. ¡Ándale!
