Lovely family run Italian haunt. Good was great and out server was wonderful too. Seems like a family run restaurant and it was lovely. Really quality pastas which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Very reasonably priced too.

Watched the chef make the pasta behind the counter in this cosy cafe/restaurant. A great place for a pre-theatre dinner or to dine out with friends. Food is fresh, varied menu, exceptional service. Always worth a visit when I'm in the area

We loved this little Italian restaurant. Food was outstanding, freshly made by the chef behind the counter. Service was warm and unpretentious. Reasonably priced and my partner and I both came away smiling and satisfied. I’ll be happy to visit again.

Delightful, old-school Italian eatery with a mellow, cafΓ© vibe in the day and homely, uplifting restaurant feel in the evening. The dΓ©cor has charm and character, which are missing in so many places these days. First off, friendly staff, and house red was very pleasing. To eat, I tried the smoked salmon spaghetti; delicious, nice size portion, and a tight, flavourful cream sauce. Accompanying this I enjoyed mixed grilled veg; it's always a good sign when there is care and attention applied to vegetables, as was the case here. I also loved that chef made the effort to give you a variety within the dish; peppers, courgette, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, artichoke...finished with spinach leaves and balsamic, lovely. For dessert, I spotted orange cake with a chocolate coating...yes please! I live locally and I'm absolutely looking forward to visiting again soon.

I have been coming here for a while. Cosy Italian restaurant. Very reasonably priced. More traditional than the chain restaurants. Anything I have ordered has always been good, especially the pasta. Very reasonably priced too. Small restaurant. Not that many tables. Clean. They don't have pizza on the menu.

Foreigner’s take, take this with a pinch of salt. Proper good fish and chips, great service!

We visited here for a late dinner on a weekday. The vibe and decor of the place is really nice and relaxing - perfect for catching up with a friend over dinner or dining alone after a packed day. The lady which serves us is nice and friendly! We had deep fried calamari as appetiser (as the dish we ordered have run out) and two different pastas (the carbonara is changed to penne as they have run out of spaghetti). They were all delicious and filling, especially the aubergines and courgettes! The calamari is less crispy then we would like it to be but is still pretty good. We will definitely come back again to try their breakfast and wine.

When we went there wasn't a great selection and most of the good options they refused to serve (out of ingredients or those "cooks have gone home"). The menu also has a pretty cheap and tacky design, the contents clearly demonstrating this isn't a proper Italian place, it's a cheap cafe. The service can be a bit direct and blunt, but otherwise fairly good, and the prices seem reasonable so, it's okay if that's the sort of thing your looking for, but I wouldn't recommend it. My biggest gripe is that when people walked in, the staff would turn them away as there was no spare tables, but there were two people sat at double tables for four, which could have easily been split apart to accomodate more.

Visited Pasticcio for breakfast on Sunday for the first time after walking by it hundreds of times. Pasticcio has a British Cafe feel and decor with an Italian menu. The interior is dominated by a fridge unit and an open kitchen which provides a glimpse of the chef at work. The floor space consists of rows of tables for two people with a larger table accommodating six on one of the corners. The place maintains a degree of cozyness yet the decor is tired. The place could do with some freshening up. The service was efficient and attentive. The breakfast menu consists of the traditional English breakfast dishes, basic salads and sandwiches with the notable absence of bacon rolls and porridge. The prices where in line with what you expect from a cafe - around 5.00 to 6.00 for a main. The portion sizes are average - the eggs and salmon I ordered was generous but the salmon slices were thin. Pasticcio offers no frills breakfast with a non fancy simple environment.
