   Lunch Tuesday. £60 INC TIP. Special lunchtime deal. Starters and main course. Starter pork belly in sauce 10/10. Garlic Mushrooms 10/10. Calzone 10/10. Sea Bass 11/10 - large portion and cooked to perfection. Crispy skin. Broccoli just right and potato just right and charred. Worth the extra £2.50 on the lunch menu. Staff very attentive and on point. Big portions

   We went as a walk in 25/10 after looking at the menu. The staff were welcoming, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, will definitely return and would highly recommend. I had risotto pollo and my hubby had the calzone. We shared a tiramisu and it was light and delicious, perfect end to the meal. Prices were reasonable too, a lucky find!!

   Came across this hidden gem while taking an evening scroll. Whilst looking at the menu, a couple highly recommended the place and they’d already visited twice since arriving in York so we had to go in and see for ourselves! We opted for the two-course set menu, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The food and service did not disappoint. The staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The setting added to the magic housed in a beautiful timber-framed building that made the whole experience feel special. A truly memorable evening. Thank you for the experience!!

   We arrived really late to eat, close to 11 pm 01/11/19 and the owners were very welcoming and very attentive. Despite being really late and they must have had a really long day we were never rushed and we were very comfortable and enjoyed a fabulous meal. cannot be faulted in any way, the food was cooked and seasoned to perfection , the wine we were served complimented the meal beautifully and the owner (didn`t get his name) was a super nice chap and we put the world to rights between us. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had, thank you so much La Piazza xx we`ll be back.

   We were last in for lunch, and they were literally closing down the kitchen as we ordered, but our pizza arrived swiftly, nothing was too much trouble and we were left in peace to enjoy it. The staff went and ate their lunch while we ate ours, and they then went about cleaning down and setting up for dinner around us but at no point were we made to feel hurried or rushed in any way. The hospitality was second to none, the pizza dough was thin, the toppings were fresh and tasty, and I look forward to returning there when next in York.
