   We visited London on holiday and a friend recommended Dokis Restaurant for authentic African cuisine. The experience was simply amazing! The meals were delicious and tasted just like home. We even walked about 30 minutes to get there, but it was absolutely worth it. This will definitely be my go-to spot anytime I crave typical African cuisine in London.

   Incredible restaurant! The staff are so friendly and the food is outstanding! There is a large variety of vegetarian options - I had the beans stew, yam and plantain and would highly recommend!!! Definitely coming back to try more from the menu!

   This was the WORST food and restaurant experience I’ve had in London. - First red flag: I walked in to the restaurant and it was completely empty (this was around 6 pm so I thought maybe the dinner rush hadn’t started). - Second red flag: the prices for the food made me balk. I’d never been charged that much for some rice and beans before. Based on the reviews of this place, I chalked it up to it being such high quality food they increased their prices to reflect the great taste. This was a mistake. - Third red flag: After taking my order, the lady (and apparently only working employee that night?) went into the back to make my food. I didn’t hear any cooking. Instead, I heard a refrigerator open and a microwave being run over and over again. - Fourth red flag: the lady came out with my leftover, microwaved food and proceeded to tell me they didn’t accept card payments. I don’t carry cash because it’s post-covid 2025 so she magnanimously informed me I could pay by bank transfer. This was definitely the dodgiest part of my experience there. -Fifth red flag: when I got home to eat my microwaved food, it was terrible. Nothing had any cohesive flavor; the plaintains were the blandest I’ve ever had in my life; I couldn’t even stomach eating the rice, everything was so badly seasoned. I suggest you avoid this restaurant which seems to really be a front for some other type of business.

   Dokis serves amazing food. Already had the Egusi and pounded yam as well as Jollof and fresh fish. The fish was on point, so tasty and mouth watering soft. The service is really kind and attentive. The atmosphere welcoming and lovely. thanks to the stuff and the Chef for this amazing and delicious experience.

   So happy this is in Deptford. Just really high quality food. Everything I've tried - efo riro, ewa riro, jollof with assorted meat - has been fresh and well-executed. If you're looking for somewhere to get Nigerian food, you will not be disappointed with Dokis.

   I must commend Dokis restaurant for how quickly I got responded to when I chatted them up to order some food. The polite and efficient way I was responded to was outstanding. I made my order and it was delivered fresh and hot. I even got a free bottle of drink with it. They didn't stop at just dispatching my order, they followed through to ensure it was delivered and I was I satisfied. Food was excellent I must say and well packaged! Very fresh and taste like homemade. Best Nigerian restaurant food I have had in London. Top Notch Service too. I ordered the Amala and assorted as well as Rice and the peppered goat meat sauce. My friends had to order the next day after tasting out of mine and were greatly satisfied.

   Ordered the Ayamase, Ponmo Alata, Amala and Abula -- they are not stingy with the assorted meat like some other West African establishments. All the food was delicious and hot on arrival. Will order from again.

   I arrived at the Dokis restaurant with my family, without prior knowledge of the business, let alone the food they sell. The risk I took with my family to eat at Dokis restaurant was really worth the time and money spent. Aside the good food, Dokis staffs were respectful, loving and attentive. In a nutshell, Dokis restaurant is a high quality and decent restaurant I would recommend anyone to visit. If you do, you might look for me and thank me afterwards.
