I’m really suprised with the negative reviews! I absolutely love the food and feel the prices are really reasonable! Everytime I come for my appointments, I’m always here (: very nice hot served meals & halal which is great! Lovely staff & helpful! Thank you!
The food prices seem to not be as affordable as they were before. Portions are also small and often not enough to satisfy hunger. The service is nice but often it takes way too much time to get and pay for food.
The site says its open till 5.30 but even at 3.50 there is no coffee drinks available. Its flexible according to the staff. Staff has no welcoming attitude and service is poor . Not very appreciative especially when its open only for staff .
Pretty poor hospital canteen. Poor food, limited options. Warning: Opening hours not what they say on the website or on the signs in the hospital. Warning: no hot food in the evenings! Could not believe it! The Gaff on site is a million times better.
Been for 3 lunches while visiting and all have hit the spot, surprisingly good and nutritious food for a hospital cafe and at a reasonable price!
Followed the signs for the restaurant all over the hospital to get some food only to be told it is staff only when I finally got there. As a heavily pregnant person who hadn't eaten for hours because I had to wait 5 hours to be seen by triage this was a pretty dissapointing experience.
Went there 11:43 to get lunch bec i was sent early for lunch as we have do to a case but when i went there even tho foods already on display the lady told me that she cant serve me yet as its too early. They serve at twelve. Its almost 12! I just want the chicken and rice whixch is slready available. Poor management!!! They dont consider. Now i’ll have to scrub with just a sandwich in my tummy until god knows how long the procedure will last!
I went to be induced with my mum (whom is diabetic) The wards don't serve relatives food which is fine so we thought she would be able to get some hot food at this "resturant" which is advertised all over the hospital BUT when we went their the lady behind the counter said its for staff only, So we had to go off hospital grounds to get food. The excuse for not allowing patients or relatives is of course "Covid" So if you have a planned long stay in the hospital either make sure you have loads of money, or get someone to bring you in food.
Food portions very big,large selection of salad, but get there early, and most choices have onion and pepper, would be nice to have things separate. If you go after 2pm, be prepared for limited selection.
