This is easily one of the best Asian restaurants in the Aldgate East area! DanDan consistently delivers exceptional quality and incredible flavour. Every dish I've tried here has been fresh, perfectly spiced, and truly satisfying. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is always efficient, friendly, and welcoming. It’s a fantastic spot whether you're dining in or ordering takeout. If you are looking for authentic, bold, and memorable Chinese cuisine, look no further. Highly recommend the experience!

Great value for money, 80 pounds together, at Dandan Noodles near Aldgate East! The Sichuan dishes here aren't just about being spicy - they're all about great flavour, colour, and aroma. I ordered the beef rice noodles, and the beef brisket and stir-fried pork were both tender and tasty. The absolute classic is the Yu-Xiang shredded pork — incredibly delicious! The service was wonderful as well. The staff even asked if I needed a fork, which was really thoughtful for anyone not tamiliar with chopsticks. Overall, an excellent experience and I'll definitely be coming back!

I recently put ChatGPT to the ultimate test: "Recommend the best Chinese chicken in East London." The answer? DanDan Aldgate East came up top, and after seeing the glorious reviews, I knew I had to check it out. I am thrilled to report that neither the AI nor the reviews disappointed! Naturally,we went straight for the classic Dan Dan Noodles. The flavour was absolutely spot-on—a perfect, complex balance of rich, savory pork mince, beautifully textured noodles, and that signature, tingly Sichuan peppercorn heat. It was deeply satisfying and authentically spiced, making every slurp an experience. The food truly felt fresh, vibrant, and made with care. The Gang Bao Chicken (Kung Pao): We opted for this classic to test their chicken skills, and the dish was flawless. It was a beautiful balance of sweet, sour, and savory, with perfectly roasted peanuts and a fresh crunch. It was the perfect counterpoint to the powerful spice of the noodles. The Service: Effortless and Friendly Beyond the incredible food, the service was seamless. The staff were friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about their dishes, making the whole visit feel comfortable and easy. You get the quality of a highly-rated spot without any fuss.

We went here because we had a long day of travelling to London & got to our hotel and just needed some good food. This place was perfect. The food was extremely tasty, it tasted very fresh! Really affordable aswell, would highly reccomend. We got the chilli beef & kung poa prawns with rice and noodles and they were both very good. The large noodle bowls looked amazing aswell!

Came here one evening and definitely great place to hang out and have some lovely Chinese noodle Sichuan soup. Spicy and not too oily for my liking. The rest of other dishes were flavourful and definitely built up the appetite and satisfy my Chinese cravings. Would come back again and recommend others to try. Portion may be slightly smaller for noodles for the price paid but other than that it is a decent Chinese restaurant.

I've come here a couple of times now as it's one of my locals. The staff have always been welcoming and friendly and the food overall is authentic and good. I've tried the red braised beef spicy noodle soup (good), DanDan special braised pork belly (really nice), mapo tofu (good chilli kick and flavour) and the tender beef and pickled vegetable noodle soup (interesting flavour with a slight chilli kick but tasty). The dumplings aren't anything special so I'd give them a miss.
