Stumbled upon this gem whilst walking. Original architecture from 1500's and exceptionally welcoming. The lady serving could not have been more friendly, helpful and attentive. Reasonably priced and good portions of well cooked food. Found it by accident but will be returning on a regular basis

We stayed overnight in our campervan at this fantastic little pub and really enjoyed ourselves. We brought our two dogs and were all warmly welcomed by Kate the Landlady. We were able to let them off the lead inside in our own little alcove and enjoyed fabulous food (and drinks!) in a warm and extremely friendly environment. We highly recommend this lovely place and will hopefully return there again when we next go on our travels.

An unlikely stop, that turned out to be a great stop! A beautiful pub, they made us feel very welcome, great beer and great people. We didn't have time to stay for a meal unfortunately.

Im really sorry but food was not good at all. 36 day aged beef. You would think it would be cooked properly. It was brown. Not pink. The spuds were flowery and cold. The veg looked like it was out of a bag. Was 100% not cut with a knife as all three of us had the same brown perfectly sliced beef. Should be cut off the joint. It came out cold but parts were hot as if it had been in the microwave. I think thats why the beef was over done possibly. And £5.50 for the smallest portion of cauliflower cheese that had bugger all cheese in it. As you can see from the picture. Im very sorry to put this but we are willing to pay the £83.82p including a service charge of £7.62. If it was nice hot and cooked correctly and hot. I also noticed my service charge was written in pen. Not on the receipt correctly so not put through the till.

What a gem of a place! Wonderful pub hidden away down a quiet road. Food was fabulous, in fact we both left absolutely stuffed as willpower seemed to have left us. Lovely friendly staff and clean pretty toilets. We will definitely be going back there again. We went at lunch time and it got quite busy so best phone ahead to book a table. Highly recommend.

very lovely country style pub cottage, low ceilings. Very comfy inside very friendly staff overall good family experience. The food is of a good quality presented very well good menu, selection and alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks. They also do hot drinks they do a fairly nice hot chocolate, Has a nice outdoor area. A decent size car park small play area for children with a small Wendy house. With this pub being in a cottage, you do get the very Kent countryside feel to it

We've been using this pub for 20years on and off, we have a son now 14 he loves it, food is exceptional, perfect menu, perfect portions, staff always friendly and polite, landlady is wonderful. Plenty of seating especially outside in the summer. Such a lovely country, elegant, pub / restaurant. Oh and prices are very very reasonable. Good luck finding better. The Thompson's. Badgers Mount.

A true gem set in beautiful Kent countryside and very easy to get to. We have been here many times and never been disappointed. Really good selection of food, well presented and in generous portions (the steak suet pudding is delicious). The landlady truly knows excellent hospitality; you're looked after but never rushed. Cheese and biscuits were not on the menu, but it was no trouble at all to rustle us some up! The pub is beautiful inside, with low beamed ceilings (mind your head!), plenty of nooks and crannies to relax and enjoy your meal, and a huge open fire that'll be lovely in the winter. Can't recommend this place enough. We will return again and again. Thank you Bo Peep.

We had Afternoon Tea for four people. Excellent value for money! The table looked superb, the food was fresh and delicious (It just kept coming!). The restuarant clean and bright. The service was a perfect balance of being attentive but not intrusive. Friendly, welcoming and pleasant staff too. A huge thank you to Kate and her team. We would highly recommend a visit.

This is a great pub, the food was fantastic, I had the baked brie to start followed by an amazing suet pudding washed down with a few local pale ales. Demi is a great host and made me feel very welcome. Can't wait to return with the Mrs.
