The food was really good, and flavorful. I loved that they played Nigerian music the whole time. Great spot for a taste of home.
I have been buying food from Enish in Ilford for a couple of years now. However, I had stopped buying there for about a year because of the service I had received. I started buying there again even though I know it is a hit and miss with the food as sometimes it is very bland (not very tasty). Two weeks ago I bought Eforiro with Goat meat. This was a delivery service; there was a big piece of fat in the Eforiro, it looks like it was just been boiled and put in the soup to add for goat meat. This evening I called in and ordered the same soup and went there to collected it. I complaint about the ordered two weeks ago. When I got home there was three big bones in the Eforiro soup with hardly any meat on it. Now Enish Ilford, it's time for you to step up on your etiquette. I have eaten at other Enish in London and at Demi's in South London and have thoroughly enjoyed the food. You cannot continue to serve people food that they have to struggle to eat. At £23 for the soup it is completely unacceptable.
Had a great experience at Enish! The service was excellent — the waiters were quick, professional, and right on time with everything. They made sure we were well taken care of without being overbearing. The food was delicious across the board — full of flavor and served hot. Everything was well-prepared and tasted authentic. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good vibes, great service, and tasty food!
Top marks for the food - both in quality and quantity. Although it was a little bit of wait to get served, the hot and steamy food compensated for that. Enjoyed the meal with the family on mothers Day. The restaurant was busy but staff handled customers well, wete polite and offered useful advice. Can't fault anything here. The restaurant is on the Ilford High road. Parking is available behind the restaurant, free for 2 hours. Highly recommended and I will visit again
The food was great, the service was pretty good, but the furniture wasn't! The tables were unstable (we tried 3) but the food portions were very generous and the food itself was tasty. Definitely worth another visit
Let’s start with the level of customer service. The young lady on the phone didn’t say goodbye and hung up after I asked if Enish was open. When I arrived later it was the same lady, she was a bit better in person but it felt like I was bothering her. The food was a 6.5/10. I asked for takeaway gizzard and dodo and only got gizzard (after asking for it three times once I’d paid the bill). A family of 4 sat down, were handed menus and then left within 10 minutes without ordering. The service needs to be better.
Good customer service, delicious food. Our waitress was pleasant. I thought there would be more vegetable in the Egusi soup a bit disappointed in that but regardless it was delicious. Serving portions are good sized. Jollof rice was very good and not oily. My friend really appreciated that.

One area of improvement is the waiting time for the meal to come out. I guess with the great music in the background, you might not notice you've been waiting half an hour for your food to turn up! When I went with my friend, from far we thought it was closed as the shutters were down. When we asked for a table they said they were fully booked and tried to turn us away, and said we should of "booked online". However, we had tried before hand, but there was no way to do so. My friend insisted that we could wait as we had traveled far to get there and eventually they got us a table. The food was really good, just the right amount of spice, and service was fine once we were inside. Would go again, but probably during the day instead.
