Another fantastic visit to Christina’s Steak in Barking! The food was absolutely delicious, as always, and the service truly made the experience special. A special mention goes to Edit and her lovely colleague whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. Both were outstanding, attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. We had the cod and chips, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, and the Red Hot Chicken Kellogg’s Burger, which was absolutely delicious. Every bite was spot on. We also thoroughly enjoyed the homemade passionfruit cooler, which was recommended by Edit and she was absolutely right! She made it taste amazing, exactly as recommended and it was the perfect complement to our meal. Amazing food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back again!

Our waitress was a stand up comedian. Chef special roasted beef, roasted potato carrots and gravy, was yummy! lovely christmas meal with work colleagues. Salmon bowl looks healthy, and the chicken popcorn on rice looks nice. the prawns starter looked good, and the cheeseburger spring roll was a meat spring roll, expected cheese pull, strawberry lemonade was lovely too! brownie tiramasu and sticky toffee pudding looked scrumptious! Asked us for allergies too. Quick service.

Good variety & generous portions — Cristina’s offers a wide menu: steaks (rump, rib‑eye, fillet, etc.), smoked brisket, burgers, chicken dishes, fish & chips, and even Sunday roasts. Often solid food quality (especially steaks and burgers) — Many recent diners praise perfectly cooked steaks, juicy burgers, and dishes like brisket‑mac‑and‑cheese, “The Mess Burger,” or ribs. Halal + flexible dietary options available — The restaurant states it serves halal meat, and offers vegetarian/vegan or non‑meat dishes as well. Welcoming, casual vibe — good for groups or family/friends outings — The overall ambience is described as cosy and friendly; staff have been praised at times for being helpful and accommodating dietary needs. Reasonable pricing for what you get — Compared with central‑London steakhouses, Cristina’s positions itself as more affordable while trying to maintain good quality. Popular and busy — booking recommended, especially for weekends or Sunday roasts — Because it’s well‑liked, Cristina’s can get crowded. One former branch (in Hackney) closed in part due to difficulties with expansion and consistency. You want a hearty, meat‑focused meal (steak, brisket, burgers) at reasonable-ish prices in East London. You’re with friends/family and want a relaxed, casual dining spot that’s more welcoming and affordable than West‑End steakhouses. a good, solid neighbourhood steakhouse with clear strengths and reasonable value, but with the usual trade‑offs of casual dining (some inconsistency, variable service, meat‑heavy menu).

Lovely steak house, premium cuts of meat and rich menu to choose from. They also do a lunchtime menu too. Restaurant is spacious and warm, suitable for kids. We tried the bone marrow for starters and lamb chops, really good flavours especially with the sauces. Definitely one of the best places to eat in this area.

My husband and I just returned from eating at the restaurant. We ordered the cheeseburger spring rolls, the Sunday Roast with beef, the sirloin steak, mac and cheese and, the chocolate brownie with ice cream. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! Bonus that all the meat is halal! We were also treated to service with a smile by Sara- she was friendly, attentive and efficient. Both my husband and I would recommend this place! Just one advice- book a table beforehand as the restaurant is so popular and you will have to wait if you walk-in!

Consistently a great place to eat, their midweek specials are fantastic value for more without them holding back on the quality of ingredients. Staff are always very polite and accommodating. I recommend the brisket burger with homemade chips, I can’t fault it. They also do home deliveries, yes we are obsessed.

Third time coming here and this time has been the best visit yet! Great service by an attentive and hard-working young Asian man who made sure our food came out on time and our needs were met. We ordered the sirloin steak with mushroom sauce, which never disappoints. The chips were amazing as per usual. The side of mac and cheese was nice and hearty enough to keep us full. We also ordered our favourite- the Mess burger- which just hit the spot as usual and melted in your mouth! Great experience, lovely atmosphere and all in all happy :)

First time eating at Christina’s, recommended many times and I can safely say I’m glad I finally went! The starters of fried potato skins with fried beef was so different and so tasty, would definitely order that again. Homemade lemonade was fresh and easy on the palette, not too sweet. I never order burgers when dining out but had to try the brisket burger, which is cooked for 24hrs. It was so soft and tender, quite literally melt in your mouth tender meat and seasoned very well. Burger was accompanied by crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, skin on, chips. Desserts were lovely, Eton mess was light, refreshing and so good. Chocolate brownie was a little rich and heavy for me but tasted of good quality for the chocolate fans, go for it! Ambiance was lovely, decor was cosy, almost like sitting in a pleasant living room. Look forward to returning! Many thanks

Imagine going to a steak house and not eating anything made of beef! Weird right? But I did, and it wasn't too bad. Apart from a couple of item that stood out the non beef menu was satisfactory and you can find item in all parts of the menu. Starters, mains, sides and deserts. There was a great selection of drinks and friendly service by all the staff. So what did I order? Started off with chicken wings and some halloumi fries! I wanted the lamb shank from the menu, but only 2 are normally available and both were sold while we ordered. I followed this by getting fish and chips with peas, spicy truffle mac and cheese (this was good, really good!). All good meals deserve sweet treats and I got their famous sticky toffee pudding with ice cream! Warm, gooey and creamy, all at the same time.
