   Had a solid meal at The Old Maypole, the food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. What really stood out though was our server Kira. She was on top of everything and gave us some helpful suggestions when we were deciding, and kept our drinks topped up even when things got hectic. She made the whole dinner a lot more enjoyable, so if you go, definitely hope Kira's working!

   Fantastic as Always – Our Go-To Place! The Old Maypole continues to be our absolute favourite spot for a meal. The quality of the food and the value for money are simply unbeatable. We dine out regularly at various pubs and restaurants, but we always come back to the Maypole – nothing else compares. Occasionally, you even get discount codes, which make the already great value even better. The warm welcome and consistently excellent service are part of what keeps us returning. We went there today for Father’s Day – a group of 12 – and once again, everything was spot on. The staff are always accommodating, even for large groups, which is why the Maypole is now our go-to for family celebrations. Every meal was delicious, and the one small issue we had was resolved quickly and professionally. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you to the team for another fantastic celebration!

   Have been coming to this pub for years and as a regular i expected to be treated better. Came down with my son for an evening meal only to be told that the kitchen was not open,even though it was well past the stated time. We were told we would be first to know when the kitchen was open, (being the only ones ordering food at this time i would have expected this courtesy) but even though my son asked several times we were not informed. However a party of eight people were not only served before us,my son was told we were unlikely to now get anything to eat due to whatever problems the kitchen was having. I am afraid i was too annoyed to even complain at this point and left frustrated and hungry. I have spent a lot of money at this establishment over the last few years,but may have to find another place with better service Sean.

   Being in the neighbourhood, l have always enjoyed the great service at The Old Maypole. Today was exceptionally so because l was assisted by Antonio without even making a purchase. He was friendly professional and bent over backward to support a neighbour outside of his normal working demands. On that please keep the service to the community up. I will always support your business.
