As others had said, this is a bit of a rip off. The food is below average and although the atmosphere is ok it doesnβt make up for the food. Practically, itβs a bit of a tourist trap as downstairs is equally acceptable food and atmosphere but at a fraction of the price and much larger portions. Personally, despite living incredibly close I wonβt be coming back. Management ideally needs to bring the food up to Mechelin standards or drastically cut the prices.

We had a lovely lunch. And Lexi, our wonderful waitress, was so so good at her service! Ask for her and she will give you an amazing day. The affogato was delicious! Iβm recommending also a wine tasting incl tour. Chris was a very good host! Thank you for such a special day.

We came here for both lunch and dinner and could not get enough, so we came again the next day. Incredible smoked trout, the best weβve had in the U.K. To quote my mum, βThat trout blew my mindβ. Served in a really unusual way with leeks, too. The roasted duck was delicious, as was the wine and the lemonade. Really friendly staff and great service. The highlight from the lunch menu small bites is the smoked beef tacos. Of course, itβs a place best experienced in great weather. We loved sitting outside watching the sunset. Will definitely be back. Very reasonable prices as well. I must say the small cafe at the Squerryes Estate Deli & Cellar Door is also lovely β great coffee.

As organiser, I made a booking three months ahead for a group of twelve for Saturday lunch in Squerryes restaurant. When booking I was told that if the weather was fine, we would be seated outside, but should it be wet, we would have tables inside in the main restaurant. On arrival on a cool wet day, despite the original advice, we were directed to tables outside under umbrellas as a result of a booking being accepted for the entire inside restaurant for a birthday celebration. Arriving at our tables, although not immediately obvious, some of the chairs had been placed partially outside the umbrellas and were wet. This resulted in four of the group being wet through from sitting on wet chairs for the entire time we were there. Several other group members felt uncomfortable due to be being dressed in light clothing as we were not prewarned of the possibility that would be seated outside, in spite of checking in a phone call the previous day that all was okay. To be fair to Squerryes, the food and service were good and, as a goodwill gesture, we were provided with some complimentary sparkling wine. However, this far from made up for the fact that members of our group had an uncomfortable experience. All in all, an unsatisfactory and very disappointing experience which should never have arisen, which I suspect occurred almost certainly for financial gain.

Absolutely awful. I don't know what happened to this place, possibly another hospitality casualty following Covid, but I used to love eating here on the terrace. Went on the 17th June for my birthday - mother in law booked the table, specifically told me we'd be sitting outside according to the confirmation email. Arrived to see the terrace shut and told that the upstairs terrace was purely for drinks, no food. We were not the only people this had happened to - we heard other tables complain about this. Not overly disappointed as it was in a terrible state, filthy and covered in bird droppings. Food was underwhelming. My starter of courgette flower was basically a flower stuffed with ricotta and spinach and warmed up. Should have been tempura battered and deep fried. Was not good or edible. Desert was also a let down - Β£7.50 for a 'cake' the size of a ping pong ball, that was actually a chocolate truffle. Never felt more ripped off. But, by far the worst thing of all, was the horribly rude man who was serving us. I've never been served by some one who so brazenly didnt want to be working there. Really put a downer on the whole evening. I'd reccomend going somewhere in Westerham village and safe yourself the ghastly experience of their hideous waiter. So not worth the price tag.

My 1st visit with 4 other sprightly OAP's was all that we could have hoped for. A long lazy delicious lunch with fine wines, excellent and discreet service in comfortable surroundings. We loved the ambiance and the whole experience encouraged us to go again soon.

Went out for a nice evening meal with my wife. The surroundings are pleasant, tables not too close so you don't feel cramped in. Wine was pretty expensive, but nothing out of the ordinary for a top restaurant so not unexpected. The service was amateurish; basically sixth formers who knew next to nothing about the items on the menu and couldn't really advise much; but they were trying hard and were all very friendly. I think some descent training would not go amiss. My wife ordered the cheese platter for dessert but asked for no goats cheese as she was intolerant to it. The waitress noted this down but when it came there was the goat's cheese slap bang in the middle. When we queried the waitress what we suspected was goats cheese she couldn't identify it so went to get someone who could. The food was a bit of a disappointment for a 'good' restaurant. The pheasant I had was dry and the treacle tart's base was hard (possibly reheated in the microwave/oven). The crab bisque was however delicious. Summary : I was hoping for fine dining but it fell short. It did have potential however and requires development in attention to detail, so I'll monitor reviews and try again in a few months, until then I'll stick with the Old Bank in Westerham.

Great & friendly service. This was our first time visiting and we all enjoyed our meals. My slow-cooked beef cheeks were excellent, melt in the mouth. Feedback on the seabass and mussels was also excellent. Will definitely return in the summer

Had our first visit to The Bottle Store and it was just lovely. Very warm and welcoming staff. The wait staff were also very attentive. The restaurant wasnβt to busy but it felt nice and relaxed. The food was excellent. The advise and information on the wine was great. Already booked our next visit.
